    Hey all,

    I bought 2 Lucien Piccard 24 hour movement watches.
    I liked the looks of them but i wonder how the quality is, i got the from ebay for almost nothing compared to the "normal" sales price of $695,- i dont know if this is true or what it is with these watches, but they are online at some places for only 70 dollars.
    So my question again, is the quality good or did i bought some 3rd class cheap fake watches?

    Really?? Why do you say that? I have an LP and it was very cheap; new in box from retailer. What tells you it's fake??

    Moonphase, GMT and tourbillion = fake - especially in that price range.

    I don't even know if LP is using mechanical movements anymore. I thought they were mostly a quartz company.

    It's not a Torb, its an exposed bridge to look like one. I'd bet its a real LP.

    You'd think on a glass back there would be signatures, jewel counts, etc on the movement.

    Thanks for the replies, on the back it says mechanical 22 jewels automatic movement.
    Its the 28195BR i think.

    mine is a chrono. again, I dont know much about the brand and spotting a fake. thanks...

    I may retract my 'fakey do' comment; it was based on the finish and type of movement I saw. I assumed Lucien Piccard was still a Swiss made watch, looking at their website shows how downmarket they have gone since their glory days post war. Apologies for my quick comment.

    My mom had a beautiful 18K gold bracelet watch by Lucien Piccard in the early fifties, what a beauty it was.
