Does anyone make locking lug nuts for a Ferrari?

Will any standard locking lug nuts fit and look good?

The only thought that comes to mind, instead of the OEM "bolts" would be to use a stud like my aftermarket BBS application which would then take a "spin around" style locking lug nut......

Hell, just drag a big chain thru all of them with a #5 Master Lock, they'll get the idea.......

 

Egad man! Having one missing tooth would look worse than doing all 5!

 

They're wheel bolts. And locking? Not that I'm aware of. Question is ...did Ferrari 'ever' mount a wheel w/nuts??

We are really busy. We have vehicles scattered from Oregon, through Las Vegas, and down into Kentucky. The Mondial t Cab is currently in Kentucky. It has been driven across the US three times and trucked once. It has been in most of the cont. 48 states.

After the Mondial t Cab was stolen, it increased our security awareness.

One thought is to protect the tires. OK, bolts, not nuts. Will do more research, thanks for the info.

When I did not know the diffrerence between a 360 and a 308 or a 12, the sales managers of Steve Harris Imports in Salt Lake City and Ferrari of Scottsdale were very good to me.

However, service departments of other dealers have been a nightmare.

When the car was picked up at one dealer, the windshield wiper system had been disassembled even though no work was approved on this system. When I complained, I was told the parts were in the trunk (it was being trucked to another dealer).

Two dealers told me it needed a new alternator. However, it charged the battery fine.
So far have about 4,000 miles on the "defective" alternator with no issues. This includes things like night driving.

Another dealer told me the mechanic wanted to test drive the car after repairs.
There was only a $500 charge to do this.

I think the dealer service departments are doing a disservice to Ferrari.

On the windshield wiper system things like nuts, washers, screws, and minor parts were missing.
One of the nuts is 18 mm, fine thread of .75. Even Fastanol (sp?) cannot order it.

However, Ricambia can supply the official Ferrari part (nut) for only $1.50 and 20 cents for the associated washer. I continue to be impressed with Ricambia.

Back to working on the windshield wiper system. It has eaten up much time.

I have found a lot of places on the web who can supply you with wheel lug bolts. You would need to check the length but my 308 GTB has 14mm x1.50 x 45mm for the fronts and 35mm length for the rears. They have them on locking bolts. You can also look in ebay for lug bolts and they will give you different sizes.

If you're okay with ruining (4) of your OEM bolts, I'm sure you could have a machine shop turn down the hex flats, and cut some sort of keyway pattern into the head that matches whatever manufacturer's OEM lock nut tool you choose. You'd have to re-chrome, of course...

I can't really imagine anyone trying to steal wheels off of a Ferrari ---- but, hey, stranger things have happened. The best, built-in, anti-theft device Ferraris have against wheel thieves is that they sit too low to get a standard height jack underneath them!!!

 

I have 20 extra OEM bolts.

However, thinking about what everyone has said, think I will give up on the idea as not really needed.

I am a new to Ferrari's owner (355 F1) and I was thinking the same thing after dumping the after market 19's for a stock set of wheels and new Mich. rubbers for all four. Even with it in a garage in Dana Point, I kinda wanted some security out on the road as well. But, I will do the same and fa-gedd-about it.
