How about another lunch? The last one had such a happy ending. Moving it down south a bit to accommodate a few more people. Let us have some food at the BBC, British Banker's Club in Menlo Park. It is very close to the Caltrain station and it is next door to Kepler's, probably my favorite bookstore in the Bay Area. If you are not into reading, it is also a prime scene for people watching, quite the euro au pair hangout (story contained in that last sentence, but not fit for print, even though it only involves my friend) I am thinking Noon, 22nd of March, Tuesday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The British Bankers Club in Menlo Park. It's located at 1090 El Camino Real in Menlo Park The phone number is 650-327-8769.
Luke, If the weather is anything like it's been it will great to sit outdoor and have one of them BBC juicy burgers. Count me in. Matt
perfect, any car is fine, of course. I might bring the 250 GTE, my Maser, or the FosF loaner (whatever it is, as it is time for the Maserati service). Plenty of parking at the train station lot for a buck, or in the underground garage, under the bookstore. I also roped in Johannes, and he is good for dirty jokes, technical advice, or stories from his days as the 1970s mechanic for the factory LeMans effort (Daytona). All I know is that I cannot wait for this week to end. All this great weather and I am stuck in the dark usability lab watching DBAs install erp software....I look forward to my well deserved execitive length lunch.
Glad to see some new faces ! I take Willow West myself (exit says Menlo from 101) and then meander through Middlefield (right) and Encinal Ave (left), park right before you get to El Camino, or so......but YahooMaps says to take Woodside exit. I gues it would be Sand Hill from 280. Here is the URL for the 101 route http://maps.yahoo.com/dd_result?ed=cYbqJuV.wil28TNCMpDXSPOzS7Bwc7tvf9XDfRu4mSCkoO1R8pCCYEMzRUIlxdTprd2MQA--&csz=San+Rafael%2C+CA+94901-3911&country=us&tcsz=Menlo+Park%2C+CA+94025-4306&tcountry=us Ignore the fact that the directions are from Ferrari of San Francisco's service location (I was there today and it was the first one in the drop list...) Or if someone wants to have fun, check out google maps (drag the mouse around and zoom to your heart's content) http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=37.459290%2C-122.185186&spn=0.020233%2C0.025193&hl=en
Luke, I'll be inviting a friend along if that's o.k. Not a current Ferrari owner, but is looking for a 355B and has owned 3 F-cars in the past. Gary
bring along friends, by all means. As long as they are not bored with car talk and an occasional inappropriate joke.
Luke, looks like I'll be attending lunch.Haven't met you yet but know Matt and Gary.I'll be driving a F360 coupe. Cal
Hi, I am new to the forum and was wondering if this lunch is open to others. BTW, I do not own an Fcar yet... Thanks! Alex
I've got to be in San Jose at 1:30, so I may show up for a quick lunch. Depends on the schedule. Hope to see you guys there. Art
Luke, You would pick a date when I'm not in the area (I'm in Vienna, scabbed onto someone's wireless access point). Hopefully next time... -steve

Lunch still on, but last minute Ellison emergency dictates that I stay put for a noon meeting. I can't belive it ! Of course, you guys will introduce yourselves and fun will be had. If only I did not have to work for a living.... Sorry luke
