Hi, my name is Cory. I've been lurking for a few months, reading, learning. Figured I should do an intro. I'm a lifelong car nut, and a career car guy as well. Condensed version -- Went to college for antique auto restoration, worked at a hot rod shop for a decade, now I work at a small technical school. I taught high performance engine design for a couple years, now I spend more time behind a desk than in the classroom. My automotive interests are always changing and evolving. I am the consummate car "junkie". I love them all, and I thoroughly enjoy the pursuit of the "next one" through my varied automotive pursuits I've "bounced off" of Ferraris every now and then, but I've never driven one or worked on one. I'm now in a place in my life where I can afford such a machine, and my curiosity and desire grow each time I come here to fill my head. As far as what Ferrari I want -- a carbureted car interests me the most, and the dad in me thinks the backseat makes a GT4 just the ticket. A Mondial coupe would be my second choice. I'm certainly not afraid of injection. I don't really have any interest in a ragtop. I've had 'verts, just not interested in going back there for now. I'd rather have a car that needs work. I'm a tinkerer. I will NOT keep my hands out of the car, and my personality leans to extended down time for "improvements". I don't want a full on, ground up restoration, but "needs work" is better than "needs nothing". I'd want a car that I could theoretically drive and fix up. anyways, looking forward to lurking some more, learning lots, and maybe at some point, participating. thanks gang !
Hi Cory, Welcome to Fchat. There are plenty of solid 308 GT4 drivers out that could use your passion. The Gt4 is a fun car to own and not too complex for the DIY. I hope you find something soon.
