Hello! I come all the way from Sweden. I'm 18 years old and I'm a huge Ferrari-fan. I know that someday I will own a Ferrari. One thing that I'm very happy about is that there I live is also the only official Ferrari-dealer in Sweden so you can see a lot of Ferraris here in Malmoe, for example one of the first Ferrari FXX.

I find this forum very good for us Ferrari-lovers, even for those who don't own one.

Bob here. I have been a car nut for years and currently own 3 Vipers ('96 GTS, '02 Final Edition GTS, '06 First Edition SRT/10 Coupe), an '02 Corvette Z06, an '05 Chrysler 300C, and a few others. I have never driven a Ferrari but have lusted after a 360 Modena, now a 430. I am presently trying to find a '66 or '67 Pontiac GTO in great shape. This was my first muscle car and is responsible for getting me hooked (also for getting many tickets). Lambos turn me on as well. Actually, so does the Ford GT and a few others. It is a sickness that has no cure. Is there a website that can help me?

    Hi all,
I only recently found this website and I think it is ace. I am only 18, and still in full-time education, but hopefully going into a career in law will mean I can afford a Ferrari in the future. I have been absolutely hooked on the marque since I was lucky enough to ride in an immaculate mondial owned by a friend two years ago. Hopefully in July I should be going to a formal dinner in a 550, also owned by a friend. This is my first post, so up until this point I have indeed been a lurker :) This site rocks - keep up the good work. JA

Lurker here, coming out of the shadows, into the light ! Actually posted a couple here and received some responses with good info - much appreciated.
No Ferrari yet, been driving Landrovers for-ever, got the oil drip stains in the garage floor to prove it. Have owned, BMW, Volvo, 911, 240Z (way back in the day), and numerous collectable 60's-70's muscle cars (GTO, Camaro), Sportbikes, more recently an Audi S4 - bunch o' fun for a 4 door !! So, time to try my dream car - any Ferrari :)
So I am searching for the right one, most likely 308/328, maybe Mondial. Will do some wrenching myself so trying not to get in over my head...too late ! If anyone knows of a super clean, original, 'driven by a little old lady to church on Sundays' older model, let me know. Look forward to being part of this great group !

I'm not an owner either, but this site has been great.

Thanks to it I got my first ride in a Ferrari (355 GTS), and got to drive my first Ferrari (575M) all in the same day. The people here are great and I hope you all enjoy the place.

Good luck with your purchase SpeedyG!

Hi my name is Doug and I like Chihuahuas and Chineses noodles....

I woke up this morning and thought, hey, I could buy a nice used 355 spyder for the price of the cars I am looking to buy (997S, GT3, ZO6) and thought I would try to get some info and feedback from owners. Something tells me this could be a very fun a rewarding life experience vs. the well traveled path of Porsche or other more pedestrian cars LOL.

Looks like a great site and so far have learned quite a bit just today. Look forward to spending some time here and getting the feel for the legendary Ferrari marque and its owners.

    Hello all!

As you can tell by my username, I aspire to a Ferrari by 50.

Actually my plan goes something like this:

    1960's Pontiac GTO by 20
    Corvette by 30
    Porsche by 40
    Ferrari by 50

Moving up the automotive food chain so to speak...

I got my first GTO at 21 (I've owned 3), first Corvette at 27 (I've owned 4) and I plan to get a '84-'89 911 Carrera in the next couple of years.

Thanks to the great contributors to this site, I will be well-versed in all things Ferrari when I'm ready to graduate to Ferrari ownership.

Hi My name is Barry and I am currently living in Houston, TX, due to Hurricane Katrina. I have been a Ferrari fan since seeing the 365 in the Gumball Rally. Although there are quite a few Ferrari's in Louisiana they seem to come out of hiding about as often as Osama Bin Laden.
If I could afford a Ferrari tomorrow I would be torn between the 575M and the 430.

Skip that plan, MAKE your dreams happen! I am 29 years old.

My name is Allen, I've loved Ferrari's since I watched Magnum PI in the 80's. I had posters of 308s & 328s in my bedroom for years. My parents were NOT rich, I didn't inherit any money either. However, I had a drive to go to college, start my own company (mortgage brokerage) a few years later.

I've now owned four homes; currently I own two (nice ones too). I bought my first F-car a little over a month ago, a 1999 355 Spyder. Tour de France blue with two toned interior (navy & saddle). This car is sooooo much fun to drive.

Now that I have a nice home and a few nice cars I'm looking for a nice girl. If anyone knows one in the Phoenix area, let me know :)

    Hi folks,
I'm a 34 year old software developer in Tampa, Florida. I've been a sports car guy for quite some time now and my interest has recently turned to Ferraris. I'm an avid fan of professional sportscar racing and have seen many Ferraris race in person. I'm enamoured with Ferrari's heritage and rich history in motorsports, as well as their obvious passion for building very special cars. My current cars are a couple of Mazda Miatas and a C5 Vette. I have been racing a Spec Miata with the SCCA since 2001. My home track is Sebring.
My goal is to obtain a Ferrari within the next couple years. I'll most likely be looking at 328's but may try to stretch for a 348 when the time comes. I work on all of my own cars and intend to learn to work on the F-car as well.

    Thanks for a great forum!

    Hello,

My name is Jeremy and I too have been a Ferrari fan for as long as I can remember. I have always loved Ferraris but have yet to own one. One day I hope to own a few and maybe even a F-40 O_O Oh Im 24 and an Electronics Engineer.

I found this site due to a stupid little post about someone in a 360 being beat by a STi. Since that is the car I now own and was on the forums I checked out the link. Im drawn to anything that says Ferrari so I had to click it. After reading some of the posts and seeing how friendly most of the people are here I decided I would join up.

I think the closest I have ever been to a real Ferrari is driving by one on the highways usually. Never seem to find one parked that I can go talk to the owner. Maybe one day I will get a chance to see one up close. Also I see a lot of the people here are gracious enough to allow some people to come see, sit and even drive their cars. I find that so amazing, dont know if I would take up the offer to drive one cause I would be to afraid of doing something wrong but I would definately love to sit and ride in one.

Well enough with all my blahness, glad to be a part of such a great site!

My name is Steve and I'm aaaah just a bit older than most of the "lurkers" who have posted so far. Just subscribed to Ferrarichat a few days ago because in about a week I will be taking ownership of an '89 Mondial-t coupe (red/tan) and I'm VERY excited. I am not a stranger to Italian cars having owned 3 Fiats, which I loved and am now the proud owner of 2 Alfa Romeos: a '91 164L- my daily driver (great car, fast and very reliable) and a '72 2000 GTV (beautiful and an outstanding driver), but nothing quite as exotic as this Ferrari.

I think you all will be happy to know that my "new" Ferrari will NOT be a garage queen. I love to drive and will put at least 5k mi. per year on her. Ferrari has been my dream car for many years and this was finally my chance to own one so I took the plunge. It's a beatiful car (even if it has 4 seats) and I'm really looking forward to the total Ferrari experience. In researching this car I have spoken with many Ferraristi and I have to say they have all been some of the nicest most helpful people I have ever been acquainted with.

I'm sure I'll have questions in the future so you will be hearing from me.

    Ciao for now!
