It always amazes me that a car 15 years old can still turn heads. People at gas stations regularly ask me if it's a new BMW model. Fuel costs for this V12, however, is another issue
Hello everyone, i am sort of new here and post occassionally. I have been a lover of Ferrari since a child and i love my F1, as you mayhave guessed from my username. I love that fact that there are real owners of Ferrari's on here, something that i hope one day i can call myself. My only experience of a Ferrari is a ride i was bought for my birthday in a 360 Spider and it was phenomennal. The power and the noise will saty with me forever, and the fact that we got up to 160mph on the track. I hope to be of help to you guys and if anone's interested i am ENZO FERRARI FROM FAST AUTOS.net which i know some people here are members of.
Hi My name's Moe and i was so intimidated to join this group. I own a 2002 Honda S2000, and while it doesn't have the beautiful Prancing Horse i one day hope to own, it's a sportscar, and hell, i can pretend right? When i was 3 years old (I'm 19 now) My babysitter turned on Miami Vice. I sat there staring at the beautiful black car being driven around. I can take you to my old house and show you the exact spot i sat riveted to. I later learned it was a Ferrari, and i have loved them ever since. I am currently attending Arizona State University, majoring in International Business with a minor in Arabic where i hope to graduate and make a buttload of money. Lol, my young dreams have not yet expired. My goal is to have one by my 10 year High School graduation. 9 years left. I'll be reading and devouring all the information i can possibly get. I have a quick question though...Do you think it would be possible for a 19 year old to get a job at a Ferrari Dealership? Ideally i would love to pass my passion off to every other person that steps inside, but seeing as i'm young, i had no idea. Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I look forward to everything you have to teach me.
Hi! My name is Lisa, and I'm from Norway. We own a Ferrari 355 F1 Spider, we've had it since 97. We also own a Porsche 996/911 Turbo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello, I just signed up I don't own a Ferrari, but will someday. Been a Ferrari fan forever, and am an avid F1 an also. I also like Pink Floyd, and I'm sure some of you know about Nick Mason This is a really cool site, glad I found it.
^ Welcome! Beautiful cars there Lisa ^^ Welcome!! I signed up for F-chat when i was still in high school and lurked for the longest time. Only now have i started to post! (23 yrs old presently). Really cool to see the site grow into what it is now. Cheers
To all those who may have an interest, the new F430 Challenge GT will be on track for the first time at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah tomorrow morning for testing and development of the car which is entered in the 9-Hour Sunchaser Rolex race the end of the month.
My name is Mike. I am 34 and live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am a mechanic at a Chrysler dealership (there is no Ferrari dealer so what do you do) I do not own a Ferrari...yet, but I can dream right? After seeing Zahir's Enzo at a show at ZR Auto here in Calgary my love has definately increased. Would love a ride in a Ferrari if anyone is interested.....feel free to PM me. Mike.
Hi! My name is Jonathan. I am 30 and live in Miami. I am currently looking to purchase my first Ferrari - hopefully I'll find one I like before the end of the year. I am new to this site, but the information, insight, and opinions posted by everyone will surely make my buying decision and ownership an easy process. I have been following F1 races and Ferrari's for a long time now, and I am really excited about finally being able to own one.
I've been checking out this form for a few weeks now. A big bug has crawled up my rear and I'm starting to do research on a TR 512/512M and figured this would be a good place to begin. I'm finding much useful information here, and if I do move forward on looking for one of these, I'll be going to one of the ferrari owners meets. Currently have an 03 10th anniversary Mustang Cobra, basic mods, chassis stiffening, suspension, etc. and it will continue to be my daily driver/work truck (LOL). Mint
Been on for a few months now, but trying NOT to lurk Testing the waters of Ferrari ownership with an 82 400i.....not so common, even out here in So Cal. Perhaps one day I'll move up in the Ferrari hierarchy, but for now, it does me just fine, thanks!
Hi, my name is Jeff and I live in a suburb of Milwaukee, WI. As soon as I find the "right" 328 GTS I'll be jumping into this thing with both feet. I've always wanted a Ferrari and now finally have the means. I currently own 2 late-model BMWs - a 3-series coupe and a 5-series sedan. I also have a fully restored 1967 Pontiac GTO. Unfortunately the 3-series will have to go to make room in the garage for the 328. It's not a big loss since I only drive the BMW about 600 miles per year. Just wanted to say "hi".
I have been enjoying all of the info. & humor this place has! You are all a great group! I have been a car nut for many years (even though I drive a 1998 Ford Explorer Sport) and I guess the car that started it all was the Corvette. I must have been about 8 when the styling caught my eye. Several years later a friend of mine introduced me to the exotics and Ferrari has been my favorite marque since. I grew up in the midwest (Iowa) where the only cars that people talk about are Muscle cars. If thay aren't into cars they talk about tractors (very boring to me). My goal is to purchase a 328 or 355 within 10 years. Back in 1992 my wife and I were fortunate to see an F40 burn some rubber at the San Antonio Ferrari dealership. I was surprised by all of the pops that came out of the exhaust when the guy let off of the throttle. I believe the car was owned by Stephen Earle the Doc who races in the Challenge series. I hear that he has seven Ferraris. I am 37 and work on photocopiers for a living. For now I enjoy boating and collecting 1:18 scale cars & trucks.
kia ora My Name is Ace, I live in New Zealand. I work for a marine glazing company called Taylor Made Systems, at the moment. Dreaming of one day owning a ferrari but love the sound they make!. Also im a quite keen into photography, but looking at putting that on hold and going to welding and fab course. Cheers Ace
Hi all, I've been a lurker since last Spring when I first became serious about buying a Ferrari. Here's my story: My first car was an Austin-Healey Sprite that I bought when I was 15 for $500. I loved it, cursed it, restored it, loved it again, then sold it for a nicer Sprite. I moved up the Healey ladder over the next 15 years but then, sigh, fell in love and got married two years ago. A sore spot in my marriage is my wife not enjoying the wind buffeting in the Healey (they're all convertibles). Ironically, I also have been driving my latest car very little simply because it's really a show car and too nice to drive a lot. I figured this was stupid, so wifey and I sat down and figured out what to do. I explained how I've always dreamt of owning a 308 (yup, Magnum P.I. influence and the fact that it's just SO beautiful) and the targa would fill both my need for open air motoring and her comfort needs, so I can really blame my Ferrari ownership on love! Of course, I sell in the Spring and buy in the Fall and have just sent a deposit on what appears to be a nice '79 GTS (308 forumers stay tuned - I need advice!) It will not be a show car but a nice driver. I want to enjoy looking at it AND driving it! A big confidence booster was this site and learning about all the 3x8 owners that work on their cars (the only way to really get to know a car IMHO). The large amount of upgrade options that make them more reliable and enjoyable to drive is also right up my alley. I pick up my first Ferrari in three weeks. So that's me. Any other Ferraristi in the Toronto area?
Hello everyone! My name is Patrick and I've been getting the "Italian itch" lately. I'll turn 23 in November and currently drive a tastefully modified 2005 M3 Coupe. I just graduated with a BS in Business and look forward to purchasing a house of my own in the next 9 months. I'm also hoping to also pick up a pre-loved 360 F1 Modena in that time frame. I should probably invest more of my money, but I'm a firm believer in enjoying what you have vs. stocking it away until you're too old to do anything with it. I look forward to interacting with everyone and learning as much as possible prior to my future purchase! Cheers, Patrick
I'm not a lurker lol, but I'll introduce my self here. Hi, I'm 14 years old live in washington state, love ferrari's koenigsegg's and lamborghini's (in that order) and cars in general. i hope to own a ferrari F430 coupe some day.
i am thelurker i have 2 ferraris and 5 posts in 2 years i don't have time to post about the cars, i'm out driving them!
Hi my name is Chauncey, most people call me Sam though. I'm 28 i'm from New Hartford, NY but I'm currently residing in Myrtle Beach with my family. Ever since I was a little kid I've always been fasicnated with cars and especially Exotics. The first Ferrari I ever saw was a F40 when I was about 10 or 11 and ever since then I've always dreamed of owning a Ferrari. My other passion in life is baseball, I've been playing since I was a little kid and I've been lucky enough to persue it professionally as I currently play for the Midland Rockhounds (AA ball). I do not own a Ferrari at the moment but I plan on owning one within the next year or two. I could probably BUY one right now but as far as yearly maintaince and ownership goes I don't know about that. I'm really intrested in owning a 360 Modena as that is my favorite F-Car model. The cars I own now are a Honda S2000 and an Acura Integra Type R. I also have a thing for Hondas/Acuras, because I think they are very quality cars and are as reliable as a wood burning stove. I'd like to own an NSX but I think I'd rather keep saving and purchase my first Ferrari within the next year or so. Well that's pretty much my life in a nutshell, I look forward to getting to know everyone here it really seems like a great community.
whats up.. its me... i am here... like ferraris... ectildeath amante Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My name is Brian, I am president of GT PRO Performance Tuning Inc in Fullerton CA (we're a dyno/tuning/modification shop, soon to be a Ferrari chat sponsor) working on getting my first Ferrari (have started discussions on 3 cars at the moment), hope to have one landed within 2 weeks, and will have this car at SEMA LV this year in the Falken Tire booth. I have owned and modded many different vehicles, but now I'm at the point I NEED to own one. I've been a hardcore Ferrari fan since the age of 6 years old with the Dino and 308, even wrote a report in 4th grade about the 308 and the Ferrari history (I still have it). Everyone here has been very nice supportive and helpful, I hope that once I become established amongst you all, you will know me as *friend*, and I can return the favor.
Good to see another Kiwi here Ace. Welcome to the forum. I'm living in central Pukekohe - not far from the race track, but I do a lot of business in Auckland. Plus I'm very active in the Auckland branch of the Toyota MR2 Club. I was living in Hamilton until early this year. If you want to see some exotic cars in their glory, check out the stunning Intermarque Concours d'Elegance show in Auckland in February next year. See www.concours.org.nz for more details. I've also found that Continental Cars in Auckland are relaxed at non-owners having a look at Ferraris in their dealership.
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Patrick and I'm from East Tennessee (near Knoxville). I don't own an Fcar and probably never will, but that doesn't keep me from being passionate about them. I've been lurking here since March and the knowledge experience on this board is awsome. I truly enjoy some of the stories and pics from the good ol' days. Anyways, just wanted to say hello to everyone.
