Lurkers -- come out and play

Hello to all. I've a rosso 308 gtsi, over 10 yrs now but laid up last few. She's getting a bare metal respray then into the work to get her back on the road. So far the list is:

Belts & std service
New header tank
New tyres and probably rims to get sensible tyre choice
Refurbish the crema leather

I'm sure a bag of other things will turn up but hopefully nothing too daunting beyond the odd dry seal.

Look forwards to updating & getting advice as I go along.

 

Hi everybody.
I am a physician from western Arkansas; I don't have a Ferrari and don't know anyone that does. Anyway, I have been doing my due diligence and plan to buy an F430 in the next few months. I am going to try to hold off for about 6 months as I think the prices will be even better. They seem pretty good to me now.
I enjoy this board immensely and you are all a great group of guys. Thanks for the invitation.

I read the board every so often. It's an automotive board so I read it to brush up on what I dont know, it's more of a learning experience for me. The fact that it is a Ferrari Board is just a plus. Currently I'm driving my modified 944 Turbo.

I guess it cant hurt to post,I have been using this site for a year or two to get info to help me rebuild my 308 QV[euro].
So far I have overhauled the engine and gearbox,Repaired a lot of the wiring and am now working on the front end/shocks A arms /Brakes etc.
Its a long labour of love[costing me an arm and a leg so far]but Im hoping to get the whole overhaul completed by 2012.

Info/pics of other overhauls/tips are gold dust to me.

Hello everybody.... Sorry for my English is not very good. I writing fron Venezuela
I have a 365 2 plus 2 that was my father´s and trying to get it in as good as I can, has only 34000 kilometers, is the only 1968 365 GT in white because it was an special order.
I need to find a good parts supplier that they are as original as posible.

I would love to have the time to post on Ferrarichat. I enjoy reading some of the posts and seeing some nice pictures, but work keeps getting the most of my time. I hope to retire in a year or less and I will be sure and make time to read and if required Post on ferrarichat. I do miss the old 365, but I still have some other toys. Keep posting and we who do not have time will keep reading.

I´m 33 years old guy From Finland. I don´t have Ferrari, not yet... All my life I´ve loved American cars, I´ve owned many of them, Cadillac ´60, Buick `55, Plymouth Duster ´70, Chevy Nova ´62, etc etc... Now I have Chevrolet Business Coupe 1932, it has 350cu engine, th700 trasmission, mopar 8 3/4 rear axle... Now I´ve put it in a million pieces on my garage, planning to rebuilt it on next winter and cruise it next summer. It will be a nice hot rod with lot of horsepowers and fun. BUT, this was Ferrari forum, so... ...2 months ago I was travelling in Italy, and visited also in a small town called Maranello, it was accident... ...no it wasn´t, it was the plan actually We visted in a shop called Push Start, the "warm up shop". We took (me and my friend) the test drive of 430 Spider and 430 Scuderia, half an our with both of them by changing cars on the half way. There are no such a big words to subscribe the experience, it was avesome, fantastic, great... My first time ever driving Ferrari, my hands were shaking, heart was pounding. It was expensive but the experience goes in top 5 of all the experiences in my life!!!
Scuderia was absolutely great, and the Spider also but both of them are too expensive for me. I like 355 wery much, it looks great, has enough power, and not so expensive too. My next car (after that Chevy) will be Ferrari, there is no doubt about that!!!

I've been here since 2009 but have been active for only 2 months. I've been more interested in other car sites such as Fchat as the main board I was active on has been down for a while.

I spend time living between Canada and UAE, and I take pictures of exotics on the street and dealerships and post them on the internet. My goal is to capture the rarest exotics, and I think that I'm doing well (I've captured 2 EB110's and Veyrons and a Carrera GT) but there's still room for improvement IMO (I haven't spotted an F40 or 288 GTO yet). My earliest car spotting was a Red/White Ford GT in Montreal in 2006, but I've only gotten serious about car spotting in 2010.

Unfortunately I don't own a Ferrari right now , but I do plan on owning one in the distant future. I'd love to own a Ferrari 575M or a F355, as I think they're really good looking. They also won't hurt me too much financially, unlike the F40 or 288 GTO which are also good looking but I don't think I can afford them in this lifetime.

Ferraris aren't the only cars I like. I like cars from the US and Japan as well, but I am partial towards European cars such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, BMW, etc.

 

I still do not have a Ferrari, but Gavin and I took our red beauties out for a spin on Mt Tam yesterday. My biggest problem is where to garage another car.

im mark, 26, working on my MBA and no, i don't currently own a ferrari. my current ride is a 2007 bmw x5 4.8i. i am into sports cars, Ferraris are my favourite and i also really like porches. i would love to own a Ferrari someday but honestly i think a 911 will be my first move. anyway as a non Ferrari owner i have way more listening to do than talking in these parts so i won't be doing too much posting but i figured i would take the opportunity to say hi.

I enjoy viewing these boards as I like seeing what it is like to own a car from such a desirable manufacture. Owning a Ferrari is my goal in life, though I can't start working on that for a few years yet.

I'm of a shy personality, and have a hard time with school and making friends. However, being from such a background means that I do not roam the Internet to cause problems and have a lot of spare time.

My name is Eric. I am a die hard euro car auto junkie who has always had a passion for great design and great performance. I have primarily owned Porsches, BMW and Audi's.

Currently in a Cayenne Turbo, Panamera 4S and next week, a Fisker Karma.

Have always had an Audi R8 in the garage the last 3 years and am missing it something fierce. Looking for a new ride to enjoy. So far, between a 430 and 612. The only appealing thing about the 612 vs the 430 to me is the ability to share it with my 3 and 6 year old girls

I'm just a regular guy who finances his cars and pays his bills on time, so writing a check for a 458 is out of the question I am also an Army Reserve officer who specializes in space operations and communications.

Would be looking at a low $100k's car in good shape but miles are ok. I plan on driving it too, so what's wrong with a few miles. I also think I'd really prefer staying with a stick. I've had paddles on the M5, 335 and Panny, but miss the analog feel of the gated shifter on the R8.

Planning on lurking for a while and going after one in a few months. We'll see how the Karma shakes out. One of the 4 door cars is bound to go to make room for a new sports car!
