Joined recently but have been dreaming about Ferraris for many years. Actively looking for a 348 Spider to finally cross owning an F-car off my bucket list. I love unique cars so all Ferraris satisfy that itch but my age bracket currently puts me in the nostalgic for 90's.
I find it funny that the TT Supras are now more expensive...

We have a Volvo V90 Wagon T6 Polestar, Mini Clubman S with a few mods and my F-150 Tow rig.

Am fortunate that I live walking distance to Sport Auto and very close to Foreign Cars Italia to help with the search until the right car comes along...

    Hello All!

Been following the whole Maserati/Ferrari scene for about 8 years now and I recently was able to get myself into a Maserati GT at the age of 27. I look forward to getting deeper into the whole italian scene, and my dream is to own a Ferrari FF in the next 5 years as the prices continue to come down more (Located in Canada).

For those wondering I earn my living as a Train Conductor (soon to be Engineer) at CP Rail and it pays well enough to be able to splurge on certain material things in life ;).

    Look forward to the adventure!

Late 50's, still car crazy, own a 2020 GT4 manual which I love more and more. I'm not a hyper-car fanatic, sure I appreciate them but I'm more of a analogue kind of guy. Carerra GT was my original halo car, now its the 812 GTS :). Love ferraris more than any other and coming from southern Ontario, Canada, I would daily drive it as much as possible! Grigio TitanIo or similar (easy to maintain) and std carbon fiber racing seats. Blk and an earth tone leather and alacantara and silver stitch. A bit of CF in the right places... YES PLEASE!!

    From Welland/Pelham. Now in Vegas.

Growing up there I didn't see a Ferrari until I was about 9-10 I saw one on the QEW around Mississauga. Seems like when I visit the Falls now there will be a 458 or Huracan around the casinos.
I see on social media though now there are more exotics around Hamilton and St. Catherines than there were when I was growing up!

Joined and lurked for awhile, so OK, I'll come out and play. I have room for another fair-weather car; I'm driving my third Porsche; a 997.2 C4S Cabriolet six-speed. I love the car, but am tired of the manual.

Like many people, I have wanted a Ferrari for many years. But, while busy making a living, I was a few hours, dollar, and garage stalls away from my current Italian dream. But, now, finished with work, at 62 it's time to get serious. So, my budget is $100K for a Ferrari with an F1 transmission. BTW, I've never owned a V-12 and need to own one before I die. It doesn't have to be now, but I'm putting it out there.

I expect to drive a Ferrari about 2500 mi/yr. I maintain my cars to high standards. There is a Ferrari dealer about 75 miles away and there is a respected independent shop about 40 miles from home. I am an average retired guy who can have a few hobbies, but I'm not wealthy and I don't have a ton of excess cash flow to support a very high-maintenance vehicle. Will one of these cars have me embarrassed to tell my wife what I spend on it?

I think I should look into: 456, 360, and 612. That's about all I know. I'll take any input you are to offer.

Congratulations; the 488 is one hell of a car.

Based on your experience, will you please help me out: I am looking for my first Ferrari. I've driven a 360 F1 (rent-a-racer) and a Portofino (dealer). IMO, the Portofino is a very fast car and I enjoyed it, but I don't want to spend that much. I beat on the 360 in a parking lot Grand Prix so I don't know how it is on the road.

I want to enjoy Ferrari performance with an F1 transmission.

I need to fit a small duffle or two and a small cooler for weekends away. I don't know if I want a convertible, I have a 911 C4S 6MT Cabriolet, or a grand touring coupe. I want a Ferrari that is comfortable on most roads. I want it to be fast and it must sound like a Ferrari.

Maintenance and costs need to be predictable. Is this a reasonable quest? Which models could potentially suit my needs?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thank you,
    love the car ,

I saw in your previous post you had a current budget of 100k and considering 456,360 or 612. Have you driven and of those models. before?

The 456 and 612 both have the same size luggage comp.(as for your storage question)
but the 612 is longer and the interior is also a little roomier but I believe the appearance of the 456 is much more distinguished.
I also find the 456 more enjoyable to drive opposed the 612
the 612 is a "better car"
but maintenance on the 456 will be cheaper as the parts are alot more affordable.

Sorry I doubt I was much help.

    Hey Ferrari enthusiasts...

Like many of us I've lusted over Ferrari's since I was a kid. Spotting one in the wild, was and still is a rare and exciting event.
So finally the time has come for my very own.

I have a Roma on order and scheduled for a Q4 delivery.

The Roma will be my first Ferrari but not my last...

Great forum and group here... Looking forward to years and years of Chatting about Ferrari's with my fellow enthusiasts.

    Cheers,

Hey all! Lurker here for a bit, but recently made a profile and have been actively looking for the first F-car to bring into my stable.

Unrelated, who is going to be looking at the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta they have at Washington? Drool. :)

Hi all! I have been lurker for a while, posting only very occasionally, so here is a quick introduction: I am a racing engineer and designer, currently working for a top-tier NASCAR team in Cup Series. Prior to that, I have been part of the unique "3d printed" hypercar Czinger 21c adventure (quite a unique project!) and before Czinger, I was working for Honda Racing out of California on multiple racing programs including Indycar, DPi, and GT3/GTD on the current NSX GT3 precisely. I currently reside in North Carolina and am about to get myself a Mondial 3.2 so I can enjoy some fresh air with my wife and 2 years old son.

    Hey everyone!

My name is Andrew. Just bought a black 1998 F355 Spider.

Car has 33k and just had the major belt service, exhaust manifold repair, and a ton of other work.

I've been owning and working on Italian cars for over 12 years now. Past cars include a red 1972 Alfa Romeo Spider and a black 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 Quadrifoglio. I currently drive a black 2017 Fiat 500 day-to-day. I do most of my own work, including major services, on all my cars. But I'll be taking this Ferrari to the mechanic because honestly I'm too lazy to work on yet another car, and I'm quite busy these days.

I live in New Jersey, but I'm moving to Boston later this summer.

My Fiat and Ferrari make quite the dynamic duo. Here's a photo of my black beauties:

    Hello Fellow F-Chatters!

My name is Ethan, just bought my first F-Car, a 2015 458 Speciale finished in Rosso Rubino over Charcoal Alcantara. Hits my home in Newport Beach, CA from the dealer in TX later this week. Have owned several other exotics from other manufacturers but the Speciale has been what I've wanted for a while. I'm 21 years old and work in the automotive industry (manage a Chevrolet / Kia franchise in SoCal). Very excited to take delivery of my first (and certainly not last) Ferrari. Thanks to everyone for the useful information on this forum, utilized tons of it to assist in my purchase. Now I have no reason to be a lurker :D

    Cheers

Hi everyone, new here. In May, I purchased a 2021 BMW M4 Competition (I know I am not in the same universe as you). I joined because I love Ferrari's and I always learn a lot on these types of forums. I like to browse random threads and learn new things, so I am happy to be here. Thank you for having me and have a great day!

Hey everyone, Alex here. Bought my 2011 458, white/black roof, 21k mi, all carbon options, racing seats and wheels for $160k back in June 2020 to fulfill a lifelong dream. Somewhat ironically it dropped from 170 to 160 before I bought it, what a difference a few months make. For once, timing wise, I think I nailed it. Had an '07 Aston Martin V8 Vantage and a '15 BMW i8 (both used), before and while I enjoyed both cars with no problems I definitely "lost" money. Granted I don't buy cars for investments, I just like to drive them, but it does help when you see the prices going up instead of down for once. I'm not filthy rich tons of money guy, I just don't have kids and my wife works so it's kind of fun to see how that other half lives with these cars. Both my previous cars where in the 5 figure range as they were "bargain exotics". I will say this is the only place you get an honest review or comparison from people who actually have both cars your looking at, like when I was deciding between 458 and McClaren 570S (thanks to those discussing that, very helpful). If you asked that question anywhere else you just get hammered with "must be nice, etc..."

I daily drive my Italia to work and around town. So far I've put about 7000mi on it, getting close to the 30K mark at which point I think it either explodes or turns into a valueless paperweight. If I get lucky and that doesn't happen it'll probably be a long term car, although my past doesn't support that. I posted once about my Endless Brake Pad experience (definitely recommend for daily driving). Mostly I come here to see if that sound or warning is a $50K problem or just a nuisance and other general tips for success (plug it in during the winter even if you drive it a lot). So far very happy with the car and probably one of the best daily driver exotics out there. My main complaint is really just the "stigma" of being a Ferrrai owner. It's hard to say it without getting an instant judgement (good or bad) even though there are all types of owners. I find it hard to be a proud owner without coming off as a ****** so I generally don't mention it to anyone. Also, I'm not an extrovert so it's a bit of a Catch 22 driving one of these. If it comes up and they are interested I love to talk about it though.

Hey. I'm Vinay. Just joined last week. I'm trying to get an F430 as we speak. Just got some great advice one a few days ago and didn't get. Thanks to everyone who helped with that.

I found another that I'm trying to price now. It's an interest salvage rebuild. If you know anything about pricing, I would definitely appreciate the help again!!

hi, my name is Fee and I’m a ICE addict. the higher the compression ratio/the higher the revs the more I’m into it. I’m currently spending most of my time riding deaths chariot whenever possible, enjoying straddling half a V8 with tiny little cylinders and revving it up ~ 17,000rpm…the closest thing to a Ferrari wail on my budget has been sport bikes.

I’m hopeful to change that soon, before the great electric massacre.

my name is Fee and I’m addicted to internal combustion engines.

    Hi All,

I’ve been looking for a fun car for years, but living situation did not allow it (lived in the city). Long story short, finally moved out of the city and I’m finally ready to buy something. This would be my first Ferrari, and I’m looking at a 360 or possibly a 430.

I’ve been lurking here for years, unsure if I was just a tourist or if I was Ferrari Aspirational. My partner and I are both HPDE instructors and I’ve spent plenty of time behind the wheel and riding right seat with students in all variety of Ferraris over the years, but have always been on the fence for my own.

I put in an order for a Portofino M last month (waiting for the factory to approve the config currently) and have started the interminably long wait for delivery now. The Portofino will be joining a few other fun cars in the garage:

A 1960 Bugeye Sprite. My dad bought this guy in ‘62, his first car, and then I got it (right of first refusal) two years ago:
