I am in the market to add a 355 to my 308GTS. I have time and patience, and am looking for a deal. I dont mind a car that needs some work, but am looking to take advantage of depressed prices. Take the car below, its in my neighborhood, i looked at it today and other than sticky interior parts it looks clean, but clearly needs some work. What would you pay, and what would you set aside to make it right?

I have been lurking for a while for a good deal on a f355 also. There are alot of spiders out there right now. I prefer the 95 berlinetta ( seems to be priced less) and have found a few that I think are worthy. His min bid plus repairs are about the going price I guess.

I have found a few I think that may be worthy. I need to see them in person though.

I don't know how cheap you need to get in to make this a good deal.
The car has a bad header. In addition to the major, you need to replace headers and cats. My worry would be internal damage because of the headers - seem to be a lot of valve guide problems and cylinder liner problems on header-problem cars. You could easily be in it for a $25k total rebuild (but that ain't all bad - few worries for three years). And that's just on the engine side.

IF you decide to consider this car, PLEASE closely observe a compression and leakdown test.
