Lusso with what looks like 330GTC nose and faired headlamps

I was researching the Lusso and found this picture. I am guessing it is a period black & white publicity shot.
But why was it built? surely it was not an option you can order. And maybe it's because I am used to the stock Lusso nose, I find it an unwarranted intrusion into the purity of the Lusso design. Anybody know if there was more than one? Also question: is the hood scoop functional in a Lusso? It always seemed to me that the mesh was too tight to let in any air?And when you fitted six carbs, did they fit under the bonnet with no trouble? Finally was the 330LMB using the Lusso body before the Lusso was on the market? Or did Michael Parkes select it because he liked the aero? Thanks for any clues,
