Has anybody bought a car or had any dealings through the Luxury Car Network on the web? They list a lot of cars but the list never seems to change. I sent a few emails about some 308 GTB's but never got a response. I called their number and that person said the ads may be old and the sellers never cancelled them.

    Thanks

I tried the same in the past with no results or replies. The I noticed that none of the ads are dated so I look elsewere now (Cars.com, Dealers, Hemmings, AutoTrader, etc).

I deserately tried to get in contact with the seller of a blue 76 GTB on that network and after about 6 or 7 un-answered calls some rep called me back and tried to get me interested in other cars for sale. I was looking for a non Red/Tan 308

I gave up and bought a car from Peter Sweeney of Forza Motors in Connecticut which was the best thing I could have done.
PS. Ended up with Red on white.

I have dealt with him in tha past. From what I can tell he re-lists adds from everywhere on his website. If someone is interested he tries to get in touch with the seller and broker a deal asking a healthy commission. I would skip this if I were you.

Was that the custom-ordered one with the white belt-line stripe? I remember that - didn't know Peter had it.

I'm almost certain that the picture of the 1953 Ferrari 250 Europa on their website was taken at Fantasy Junction in Emeryville, CA.

Fantasy Junction no longer has that vehicle for sale. If you called them, they could probably tell you where that car went.

I believe Luxury Car Network is the same as the "type of troll", that once discovered here on F-Chat, immediately gets banned.

Living vicariously off the (real) salesmanship of others.

I've had dealings with these guys they had pretty good follow through when I contacted them. I didn't buy the car cause it had a salvage title but they were responsive from the 1-800 number that was listed. My experience was four years ago though so who knows what their business is like now.

Thanks for the reply. I thought they might be just a middle man for a broker. I will keep checking ads on the web and being from the northeast I will keep in touch with Peter Sweeney at Forza in Ct. Again thanks for the info...
