Luxury Motors sent out an email addressed to their entire mailing list... all of which was visible. I had a very bad experience with them years ago. I was going to reply to all and give my opinion of them but decided to take the high road. A few people did respond. I'm sure there will be more to come.

    Original Email:
Hi, how are you doing? I hope things are going well with you. I am wondering if you are still in the market to purchase a vehicle. The vehicles that you were looking at either sold or the prices were reduced to the fact that our entire inventory must go before 30 days otherwise we do sell them at our cost price after that. We have an indoor showroom that we keep all our vehicles and it’s more of a feeling you are at your own house. Very comfortable atmosphere, warmly and other facilities such as detail department, service, in house financing, and extended warranty all provided. Please let me know what are you looking for in the car one way or another; price wise, color, options or the unique choice from our exotic selection.

    Best Regards, Jay

I am still in the market, but it will a cold day in hell before I would ever consider or recommend purchasing a vehicle from Luxury Motors. My experience with your company was absolutely atrocious and quite frankly unprofessional and amateurish. I went from having a $5000 deposit on a car and approved finance, waiting on the shipment of the car from Luxury Motor's California location - to no car and no follow up from a Luxury Motors representative. Hard to believe in this economy that your company conducts business this way. Perhaps Luxury Motors is really that busy and does not need incremental business.

    Regards,
    Jason

This guy (the customer) is full of ****. I can understand your dis satisfaction with the services, but don 't take it PUBLIC. Our country is spoiled with rights of expression and certain idiots taking full advantage of it.

Leave these guys alone and it's OK if you don't shop here. But, stop hurting them in un professional manner.

I visited the facility in Downers Grove and was treated like a second class citizen. I would never go back. Sorry, but you need to re-train your associates to treat people with respect.

Interesting. I think we have a long thread on the Chicago section about them. Keep us posted if more people reply ! Sounds like they are hurting a lot.

I find it funny that in the original email, the salesman pretty much says to wait 30 days to get the best deals :D

"our entire inventory must go before 30 days otherwise we do sell them at our cost price after that."

I worked there as a salesperson (Downers Grove) for 6 months right out of college while I looked for a good commodity trading position. It's really hard for me to believe that anyone would ever want to buy a car from there unless the individual was a major credit risk and couldn't find financing elsewhere. I can't blame the OP for feeling the way he does about this place. There is so much more I could say about this organization but I think that everyone gets the idea by now. It was really humiliating for me to be a part of such an organization! By the way they were sending those same stock emails, word for word, when I was there (3 years ago).

Interestingly, the grammar of the original email is pretty bad, but so is the reply from person #3 who says for the customers to leave the business alone.

Most likely just the same person trying to defend themselves and doing a bad job of it.

Looks like the current and future economy is doing its job in weeding out the crappy dealers from society, at least for a little while.

I hope there are more responses...please post them.

Is that dealer-speak for "We're going out of business"?

I think what that is referring to is that after 30 days a car is in inventory LM has to start paying the note. If any one believes, including the salesmen, that after 30 days in inventory LM drops the price of that car to LM cost then they are stupid!
