Full QP roadtest in today's Autocar......a disappointing 3/5 verdict.

    that's sad - I still like mine

My copy is in the postbox at home - I shall read then. Don't tell me, they marked it down on the Cambiocorsa and the sport-oriented ride?

Slightly o/t, but kung fu hero/kill bill legend David Carradine drives one.

Good enough for him, good enough for me :)

I wouldnt read much into car magazine tests at all. You have to remember they are not being objective, they are writing what they think will sell their mag. Autocar may not be the worst (Top Gear gets that prize) but they are all the same to an extent. It all depends what you want out of the car. The Maserati 3200 was slated by all the mags especially Clarkson, but to me it was one of the best cars I have had, it oozed class and put a huge grin on my face every time I drove it and the things that they all slated it for - sensitive throttle, dramatic power delivery etc - were just the things that once you got used to it made it so much fun.

I suspect the QP is much the same, it took me about 1500 / 2000 miles before I fully got used to the Maser and I suspect the QP would be the same.

Interestingly, the review wasn't as disparaging as I thought it would be...

I've been using in daily and now have 1500 miles on it - running in nicely.

I was worried it would cannibalise the 575 experience, but it complements it nicely - sensible, comfortable transport with a hint of Ferrari.
