http://www.jrscustomauto.com/ it is in Fort Worth and we are talking about doing a Texas Driver industry profile on em... What'a think?
Ghetto This place is the palace to "just because you have money doesn't mean you have taste." If you're running an article on how to throw your money away I'd say it's perfect. I've never seen your magazine. But, from what I have gathered it is marketed to an upscale buyer. This is not the kind of piece I would expect from a first rate magazine. Just because Dallas Cowboy/Maverick (celebrity) X or Y got his rims from someplace doesn't interest me or lend any credibility to an establishment. The whole Hummer H2O, Escalade, Navigator thing is nothing more than the mini-truck craze during the late 80s. It will fade into oblivion as that did and many people will find themselves at the end of 5 year leases with trucks that arent worth anywhere near the lease buyout states. Not to mention a very expensive set of ugly wheels that no one wants anymore. Fads come and go. If you do a piece maybe that should be your slant. Is this a fad or is it going to stay around for another 20 years? Very impressive set up though. My .02 Flame away...
Ohhhh...unsprung checkbook weight! Mebbe you can call it the Shops who Bling the Cars of People Who Want Offices in Turtle Creek? I think the feature may need a health warning that it may induce vomiting.
The link is to a place in Irving, not Fort Worth, and I went in there about a year ago out of sheer curiosity. It reminded me of the speed parts shops (I don't care, import/hot rodders/dirt trackers) where they have stacks and stacks of catalogs and not much inventory. It just has a much bigger footprint than most shops of that type. Maybe it's changed in a year, but I don't care enough to go look, even though it's about 5 minutes from me.
If that's what your readers want ... typical bling shop. I have to admit I liked the Bimmer 7 with bling wheels ... with way too many H2 with chrome wheels and TVs ...
If you go to the first mentioned link and click then proceed to the first tiny row of pictures, the last picture in that row is of Brian Jordan. He plays for the Rangers and bought that car from me. He had those wheels for two months and we cannot get them to hold air anymore. They are beyond craptastic. We finally put the stock wheels back on for him so he could drive the car.
