M139 Quattroporte S 4.7 Tapping noise

Hello Everyone! I own a 2009 Quattroporte S 4.7. The car is running great and I love it dearly. However, there is an odd little tapping noise that is coming from behind the dash/ engine Bay Area when the car is at idle. The noise usually occurs after the car is warmed up a little and drops below 1k rpm. The noise will speed up and slow down randomly. Once I hit the gas pedal and rev it, it will disappear for about 10 seconds then begin to tap again. This noise sometimes comes and goes. There will be days where I don’t hear the noise at all. Some days it is somewhat loud and will occur all day. I have a recording of the noise after placing my phone on the dash. You will hear the tapping go up and down in speed and completely disappear for a few seconds before returning. Could this be a Variator Issue? I should mention There is no rattle when the vehicle starts. I should also mention there is an ever slight misfire at idle as well. You can see the needle slightly move up and down. Nothing drastic by any means. If you were driving the car for a day, you’d never notice. Not to sure if this is related at all. Any ideas to what this could be? Car Has 53,3xx Miles!
