M3 caught in hail storm, hood all dented.... where to go?

    Not for me.... My buddy in Abilene has a new M3 and got caught in a hail storm and the aluminum hood is F'ed. Insurance company gave him a couple shops in Abilene and they were talking about bondo-ing it which is just stupid. He called the BMW dealer in Ft W and they referred him to Caliber collision. So....

    Anybody have experience (pos or neg) with Caliber? Any other shops he should consider?

    +1 I've heard very good things about Dan.

    Caliber (in dallas at least) is hit and miss...

    My friend had an X5 with $20K worth of front end damage (not on car fax btw). They fixed it okay. OTOH my wife sent her VW to them after some lady backed into her driver's side door. They did a sh*tty job on that one.

    IMO it's a safer bet to go with a smaller independent shop than with a larger corporate chain.
