Okay, well here goes, I had a 04 575, pulls like a freight train, great GT car, I liked it for awhile, but is too front heavy for the way I drive. I had a totally moded 07 M6, nice GT car, though only way to drive itwas in S6 which was great as long as you were in a straight line, to heavy, but it was fun. I had a M3 (had the steering box rebuilt, amoung other things) it was not fun, kept it less than 3K miles. I had 2 360's both a balst though I loved the coupe, the spider is not for me. my 430 coupe was special, but it is gone, I found out I could make something better for less, so I did. I always love the car has soul crap, sorry no car has soul, if that was the case the factory workers would be God.

Nice summary. What do you have now?

Frankly I'd absolutely friggin love a CS. This is my ultimate currently - everyone whos had other derivatives of 360s and 430s tend to say its the ultimate drivers car at this level. Not comfortable yet spending around £95k though for current dealer cars for sale - if I could get a good example privately for £80k we might be on (about the same price as US cars are going for)

Is this the case even though I guess the 335i is putting out about same HP??

What throws me is the Z4M and 360 have same quoted 269 ft-lb torque figures. Its totally different I know but interesting to discuss...

Same issue that concerned me, till I drove the 360. Caution: Paper does NOT reflect reality! LOL

The way the F-car spools up is effortless! With my M3 and 996 Targa (which IMHO was far better than the M) your tromped the pedal and the rpms would run 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 .....in the 360 you BLIP from 1000-3000-OMG Hahaaa! In other words, the torque figures may be like sisters, but one is always Hotter! ;)

I traded the M3 (convertible -my brother had the coupe and it drove similar) my 996, a bunch of cash and got the 360 :) ...only downside, it's maintenance will probably be the same as the M3 and 996, but the Fun Factor is greater than both as well!

    Good Luck on your choice!

You seem confused, it is not all about torque.

    335i with JB3 400hp/450lb-ft tq
    335i stock 300hp/300lb-ft tq

360 stock has 400hp/275lb-ft tq, 425hp/290lb-ft tq with high flow cats and lots of rev available (8.7k fuel cut off). It is faster than a lot of cars with higher torque. Power to weight ratio my friend.

I used to have a E46 M3....no comparison.....360 is better in every possible performance factor, except maybe fuel economy....

Carnut, that was funny! They may not be god.. but I think its the hear soul and love we have for them that take on personalities. The name Ferrari just helps it a bit more, and a lot harder to find in a Kia Soul.. haha see what i did there.. okay i am done. Great thread people!

I have converted to RWD (lots of other things were removed as well) Gallardo, and something that was once a 997S, though very little remains of the car I bought in 06. For times I need to drive with other humans, a Range Rover and 5 series BMW. Well I have owned over 250 cars, not a single one had any soul at all, maybe mine were just not that blessed, or perhaps the way I drove them scared the soul out of them.
