    Our Mac is three years old. Today I ran the updates for iTunes and Safari. After the restart, my Safari won't open up. The icon just bounces. What's going on???

    Go to force quit & see if it's responding. It bounces when it's needs your attention, software updates, issues, etc...

    I remember my cousin told me once that older Macs can't be updated. he was using the Emac, and switched to the Macbook Pro last year, and one of this facts contributute dto his switch.
