ok, so i got virtual PC and updated it( i also have the latest OSX), and i got windows XP pro, now when ever i start up the virtual pc and want to install the XP pro it wont start up all i get is a dos looking screen that says

    "OS not found
Install an OS on this hard drive"

then i hit a button(any button) and it says

"Reboot and select proper boot device
or insert boot media in selected boot device"

so i put in the XP pro cd, the virtual PC "captures" the disk, and the virtual PC says to restart the "windows' system and

"Press any key to boot from CD"

SHOULD appear, only it does not and i get the same old

    "OS not found
Install an OS on this hard drive"

what is going on here??? any one ever use virtual PC and have any idea what im doing here??? please help!!!!
    thanks

ok, i have never used virtual pc b4 so im guessing i need to do this??

"If the behavior occurred when you started the virtual machine for the first time, start the computer by using a bootable CD-ROM or boot floppy disk with CD-ROM drivers, and then install the operating system. For more information about how to install an operating system, see the Virtual PC online Help."

so do i put the XP Pro cd in the apple and restart??? and where is the Virtual PC online help??

    thanks

You created a new "virtual PC", and chose to use your own CD (the first choice) of the setup wizard, right? It's pretty straightforward.

The help system is available from Virtual PC's "Help" menu.

i know i do that, and i put in the XP cd, and nothing happens, it will keep saying the same thing over and over in that DOS thing, and the help viewer, i do what it says...

capture the CD, the restart the "PC", and it should load up & begin to install.... but it doesnt, and the help viewer for installing "your own disk of XP" just kinda skips some steps, and says "it will take a while to install", and no info on how to get it started to install....
