Wow, those numbers really show what a home run the Macan models have been.

Just added to their sales numbers today. We traded in my old Lexus SC430 on a 2018 Macan S in night blue metallic w/black& luxor beige interior. Pretty well optioned, 20" RS Spyder wheels. I like the car a lot, my wife loves it. BY the time we got home, she was working to figure out how to split DD time with me... she even encouraged me to consider a GT3 so I could really have some fun while she transitioned to the Macan...

I recently sold my Macan after 3 years of DD with practically zero issues. In terms of build quality, I feel that Porsche is the best among the Germans and closest to say, Lexus.

Plus with raised ground clearance, you will want to take it everywhere. Rear seating a little bit cramped but ingress/egress still better than most sedans. And even if it shares the same platform with Audis, I find it very sporty and drives like a "true" Porsche.

If you like to reserve sports cars for special weekend drives, this is the next best thing vs say an M or AMG sedan/coupe.

When the next gen Macan comes out in a few years time, I may probably want one again. I'd say go for it! :)

This may be old news, but I just found it. Steve Sutcliffe track tested the Macan Turbo against a BMW M2 around a short track. That the BMW won is perhaps unsurprising. It recorded a time of 47.2 seconds I think. The Macan was 0.5 seconds behind. This is an SUV weighing 1000lbs+ more than the M2.

We can debate the realism of taking a Macan on a track (or a Land Rover on an obstacle course for that matter) but the fact that Porsche has engineered the car to do this is really impressive (to me).
