Anybody have a recommendation for someone with experience working with Columbo 209 heads in the LA area? Thanks ahead of time.
have you taken the heads off yet? have they been machined before? are there cast iron guides? are thee brass seats? what model car? PM if you like
Heads are off. Haven't looked at the guides yet as I've been concentrating one getting the car ready to pull the engine. Doesn't appear to have been worked on before. I'm mostly interested in having some flow work done, polishing etc. Car is a '65 series I 330gt.
If so, measure the thickness of nthe head at all four corners and post the results-zero the instrument prior to each measurememnt wait until guage and head have sat over night-preferably to 68-70 F.... surfaces must bge clean and dry....scrape clean with singlew edge razors and wioe clean with some berymans carb cleener
