Going to clean the MAF's tomorrow. Does anyone have pics of what to clean?

I read the posts. I am more of a visual learner.

    Cleaning Airfilters as well.

Getting issues with a bit of a rough idle when hot, and also now a CEL 1-4 light is on and stays on.

    Thanks in advance.

There is nothing special about the 355 MAF. Just follow the instructions in YouTube videos...

    i.e.
    disconnect the plug
remove the MAF from the car completely (2 clamps... & maybe the airbox?)
10~15 bursts of specific MAF cleaner (nothing else), some say two fairly long bursts with drying time between.
don't touch the internal components with anything but the cleaner
let dry for 10~15 minutes (some videos say an hour)

The engine management system may need to recalibrate itself after this before it runs normally. There should be posts on the forum on how to do an ECU reset.

Here is Forum guru Ernie's post on this:

Thanks for telling us what car you have :) The 1~4 Check Engine Light tells you it could be the MAF on the right hand side of the engine (standing at the back of the car, looking forward) causing the problem.

Because you have a 2.7 car, there is a special procedure for extracting the fault codes from the Motronic (engine) ECUs

P.S. It won't hurt to clean the pins/socket on the MAF electrical plug, also. Any cleaner such as isoprolyl alcohol will do, as long as it doesn't leave a residue. I guess MAF cleaner would do the job, too.

If you clean both MAF sensors at the same time, it might also be a good idea to swap them as part of faultfinding. If no luck with swapping and cleaning, we'll take you through the fault code reading process or we can move onto ignition and other things.
