As most of you probably already know, the Dino is on the cover of and featured in the 2011 May issue of Octane. My copy just arrived today. Andres

By the way, these are the oldest magazines (Thoroughbred & Classic Cars Dec '76, July '80) i have on the Dino, anyone knows these?

It almost seems the magazines got together and agreed " we'll do Dinos."

The British magazines covering "classic" cars (a totally different meaning from the U.S. definition) usually do a Dino cover story every now and then. I bought one a few years ago in which a woman won a "dream drive" in a Dino. I have around six British Dino articles, and it's fairly obvious that the British love Ferraris, especially Dinos (if they are in fact Ferraris!). Fred

Does anyone know a source for purchasing individual copies of the magazines referenced at the start of this thread (latest issues of Octane, Sports Car Market, Classic Cars)? Of course, aside from the eventual appearance on eBay.

Ron, with what individual issues cost, may as well get a subscription. Well, maybe not to all :)

But I don't have any interest in articles about other Ferrari's, especially 275GTB/4 (which I lust after). I can't afford to get hooked on those, so I'd rather narrow my exposure only to Dino articles.

It is actually hard, probably impossible, to find magazine articles now that can provide the depth and accuracy of information (and the number of detailed pictures!) that this forum allows. Although there was a suggestion before to combine this 206/246 thread with the thread on vintage Ferraris (perhaps to give legitimacy to the Dino), I am glad we have this dedicated thread all to ourselves. The wealth of data here is incredible. And you can zoom in the pictures when necessary!

BTW, the Octane car wears a Ferrari badge.

    Regards to all,

    Andres

Lots of dealers on ebay - just put in .co.uk for the British ones.

As a rule these "general enthusiast" magazine articles all say the same thing.. a brief (or long) description of the Dino badge history and the car then a brief drive. No point in having them all, in my opinion.

The issue of Auto Italia currently at the bookstores has a write up of the Dino engine.
