I made my own hyperflows of a penny to the pound of the cost of hyperflows (though no polished outside).

One of the MAFs failed, and overfueled, the cat glowed, and then melted. No prob, no fire, just glowing red.

Would you get this treatment from hyperflow?... Watch this. I installed it and am not certified as an installer. Look at this link for coverage http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212160. The core colapsed, see this link for coverage... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=227951. So I called the UK agents, nemesis UK on 01527 870 222 speaking to Guy and Dave. I explained the situation and told them I wanted to order another one. He would not take payment!!!, just popped another one in the post and asked for nothing.

Magnaflow supplies the cats to hyperflow, who add pipes and polish, with a HUGE markup (Magna installed = £150 per side, Hyper installed = £1400 per side). As a joke, I called 2 hyper-dealers (no names here) pretending that I bought a hyperflow system, where a fault melted one. Both told me this would not be covered under any warranty and would require the purchase of a new unit. One went as far as telling me it was vital I bought it immediately as running with a single cat is illegal (even if my car is from '89) and would destroy the engine... What load of bull...

So Magna +1 in my book!

    1) Hyper Flow does not buy from MagnaFlow. I don't know where you get the information, but I am VERY familiar with their manufacturing process and MagnaFlow is not part of the equation.

    2) I am curious which HyperFlow reseller you spoke to. I have personally been involved in the warranty claim on several HyperFlow products here in the USA, for a variety of reasons. Never a problem, customer gets a free replacement. Calling a dealer and 'pretending' to have a defective cat is, in my personal opinion, an inappropriate way to correspond with the Ferrari parts community.
