    conflicted on whether the california needs this option. i just ordered one without but dealer is pushing me hard to get it

    Agrun- Standard on the 599 and Corvette ZR1. That should tell you something. I would want it.

    thank you. the 599 price is more than 100k more than the california, so i would expect it to have much more standard equipment. the option is nearly 6k wondering whether someone out there has the coop on whether its really worth the money

    Try looking around in recent California threads. It was discussed somewhere else here recently. You may consider value of this option to future buyers when it comes time to sell. Or at least the "sellability" of a California, if most buyers would want it. $6k is a lot, but not really that much on a $200k+ car.
