Hi all, I know there are alot of threads talking about this subject, however I can't seem to find a anwser on my question. I have a 1980 GTSi US spec, with Magneti merelli distributior caps and rotors, I have found a ebay link that shows a pair similar to mine. Ferrari 308 Engine Ignition Distributor Cap Pair Magneti Marelli | eBay My issue is, that I just broke one of the rotors, I have found alot of different rotors on the internet, and even seen problems like the talk below: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/78781-rotor-cap-problems.html Which one would be the best buy? Is part no. 30817075 at Ignition Parts for Ferrari 308, 208, 288 GTO & F40 - Superformance any good? As I'm living in Denmark (Europe), and I would like to have the rotor before the weekend, the obvious question will be, is this Magneti merelli distributior rotor used on other cars/brands? I have seen that the Euro spec uses the same as Alfa Romeo Montreal, but what about a US spec? Thanks, Kind regards Daniel
I have purchased multiple rotors and caps from superformance (because they were cheap). They all fell apart within a few months. I had Carobu (Carobu.com) switch me over to a single distributer system (which is what I believe the 308 came with originally). The cap and rotor they installed is close to bullet proof. The cost was considerably more but well worth it.
Hi, Thanks for the reply and input! Another thing that would be interesting to know, is the orignal part no. for the rotor! I might have found this my self: 703 880 02 http://www.miuraworkshop.com/tavmarelliapplications.html
