The easiest solution is to ask the dealer to check on his computer what options your car had new

From an eariler post of mine :

From a ricambiamerica link I found the part number of the magneride shock which is 247208, and on my Cali you can easily see that part number on the lower outside of the front right shock by turning the wheel full right. The non-magneride is 247207.

I knew there would be electrical connectors on the top of the shock but without a mirror I could not see behind the body panels to look for that connector.

it's a problem when you cannot easily tell whether you have a feature that happens to cost in excess of $5k and need confirmation from an invoice or list. I've been saying this all along that, while I paid for Magnaride and I have the spec sheet to prove it, I truly cannot feel a great difference (in a blind test for example) in the ride whether manettino is in comfort or sport. I have not yet had the benefit of being able to toggle the modes while riding over a rumble strip or other long strip of irregular surfaced road. I am hoping the new Cali will have a more dramatic difference between comfort and sport.

Is the Cali magnaride system the same as the 458? Does it have the rough road button (shocks) on the steering wheel?

No one can take your opinion about magneride away from you, it's great that you share your opinion, and I'm being sincere about that

If we all agreed all the time no one would would come back regularly

The vast majority of owners on here DO notice a significant difference between sport and comfort

That's not to say that your opinion is wrong, it's just a minority view

If the OP searches magneride he will see my post about saying "aaaahhhhhhhh" :)

I have an 09 as well with Magneride and the difference is huge. I remember there was a campaign in early 2010, I think, where they tweaked the software and I remember noticing more of a difference between comfort and sport modes. You should check to make sure all the campaigns were taken care of on your car.

Neat : I never realised dealers had access to the details of cars from other markets

Thanks, so no magnaride for my car. But the handling is not bad at all, compare to my F430 which is lowered and has chamber adjusted.

Yes, I do appear to be in the minority with this opinion. Sometimes makes me wonder if there is a defect with my system?

That's absolutely stupid IMO. And it's similar with the Corvettes. At least you can tell if a Corvette has it due to the knob, but you have no dash confirmation it's on or off, so also can't know if it's working properly or not. On the Vette I can feel the difference (although not by much). On the Cali, I honestly can't. But always have it on sport anyway. It also sucks you cannot independently adjust it; crazy. But no car is perfect :D.

Oh, but I also have to say magneride is A LOT more than just a better ride. The ability of the wheels to conform to the road is what really sets it apart from other shocks. Take care folks.

If you can't feel the difference then you don't have magneride, there is a BIG difference which can be felt even on a fairly smooth road. Or you can check the part numbers as in my earlier post.
