    Hi,
someone knows or has magnetic shield ?
    Who has experience with these?
Do they stay on at high speed ?
Is it easy to remove so they can easily be stolen ?
    Many thanks .

Got mine on ebay. Very happy with them. They have not come off at fairly high speeds, and IMO give a nice detail to the 308. Saw another Fcar recently, grigio color, like mine, which had the shields, but had his brake calipers painted yellow to match the shields. Looked AWESOME!

Here's the e-mail address of the guy I got mine from

    [email protected]

He uses authentic decals and adds the magnetic backing for you if desired.

I don't understand either. Why not. They are magnetic and can be removed. Is there some secret Ferrari sacrilege I am breaking by putting the SF shields on a 308? If so, pLease explain as I don't want offend, or piss off the gods!!!

You can do it...and the resin shields can be stuck to some thin flexible magnetic stock, like used for magnetic signs. I did it, they stayed on, and no one figured out they could be peeled off and stolen. BUT, the proper cloisene type are much superior in looks. You can get them from many sources...I like the Yoshi shields, as his are thinner than most, and more accurate to the oem ones. He gives an fchat 20% discount if you ask too.

Because they aren't real, they're weaksauce......Like putting an AMG badge on a E350. You can have a concourse quality restored car in a show and all they will remember is the fact that it had fake stick on shields on it.

The best reason to use the magnetic shields is that you will make a great impression on the kids who are oggling your Ferrari when you pull off the shields to give them away to the onlookers.

I've used the eBay guy posted by someone above, and I've used the resin shields (about $8) from Eurospares http://www.eurospares.co.uk/searchResult.asp?S=95990925 stuck to the magnetic paper stock sold by Office Depot for laser printers.

Cheap either way. Here's how they look installed:

The whole idea behind the shields is that they were used on Ferraris that were raced. Now everyone is putting them on the cars. Who cares if they are magnetic, or not, on 99.9% of the cars that they are on (whether factory installed or a magnetic copy) it's STILL PHONY.

    What he said.

I guess if they're magnetic at least they can be removed without damaging the car.

    VITO11 check your PM.
FYI, I sell the thin metal shields and have them available for your car if interested. They are thin and match the size, shape and color of the OEM shields.
The price is $300 for the pair including postage.
PM to me. I will send a picture if you forward to me your email address.

Nope. Didn't order the car with them. If I'd have gotten a 360CS, might have, or an F40, maybe, but not on a street car.

    "magnetic shield"

I guess my morning coffee hasn't kicked in, yet.

I was picturing a big magnetic force field to keep away other cars and shopping carts in the parking lot. ;)
(Raise magnetic shield, Mr Sulu!) :p

In the parking garage of a place I used to live sat a 944 that I called "The Porsche That Said 'Porsche' Seven Times":

    The windshield had a huge P O R S C H E decal across the top
The rear spoiler had the factory PORSCHE script embossed in it
The panel below the tail lights had the factory PORSCHE script decal
The rear license plate frame proudly said PORSCHE
Of course it had the badge on the nose -- PORSCHE
The front license plate said PORSCHE along with the badge
and finally, the license plate itself proclaimed: GOT PRSH

(luckily the logos on the center caps weren't enamelled and therefore didn't stand out...)

I was left wondering if the guy who owned it had been asked if it was a Mazda or something at one point in time. Either way, I'm quite sure that everyone in the parking garage KNEW FOR SURE that it was a Porsche.

So I ask you, the owners of sleek, beautiful Italian thoroughbreds, just how many times and from how many angles do you need to let everyone know just what kind of car it is you drive? ;)

If I decided to put the Shields on my fender it's because I do it for personal reasons, "I Like the way It looks on MY Car"

I don't care what others thinks. I'm doing it for me NOT for Them.

So do me a favor, do it and post pics.:)

I guess people would assume it's an "SF" then since the shields don't say FERRARI on them ;)
