I got the software update for the magnetic shocks a week or so ago. It makes a BIG difference in the Comfort mode! Crusing down the highway, especially a bumpy highway, it is much softer. Not stupid Cadillac soft, more like my old 928 soft. No more getting beat to death on crappy roads and no harm to the handling either. If you have a California with magnetic shocks be sure to get this update!

    Rick,

Can the modes of the magnaride be switched on the manettino?
Is it integrated into the standard modes?

    Ray,

It is integrated with the manettion switch ... put it in comfort mode and the ride is clearly softer. It was softer before the software update but this made it even better. Imagine that, a Ferrari that rides really well when you want it to yet stiffens up well when you want that. I am sure some of these guys would think that is a bad idea ... Well worth the trip to the dealer. I am not sure how long it took to put the update in. There is an issue with the driver's mirror on my car that they were doing research on that probably ate up most of their time. They had the car about 4 hours.
