POLL (possible 2 Choices): TOM SELLECK is the obvious pick. (maybe not...) so give us your second options. So I've been hearing alot of this new Magnum P.I. movie that is supposedly coming out next year. And I can't wait. I WANT TO KNOW MORE. They have been trying to make this movie for about 3 years now. So my questions are. Anybody heard any real news on when it’s coming out? Who are the actors; so many names have been put out there... Who would play the best TC, Higgins, Rick, Lt. Tanaka, etc... My picks are: TC: LL Cool J HIGGINS: Some short english guy... RICK: Michael Imperioli LT. TANAKA: Jackie Chan Also age old Question: Vintage Ferrari or New and if new, which one. My Pick: New Ferrari and probably a F430 Spyder. And Of course the poll: these names were all tossed around. Obviously Tom Selleck himself would be the best choice, but he has said no. So the other 3 names were. George Clooney Ben Affleck and most recently Matthew McConaughey Let us know what your favorite’s picks are and if you've heard anything on this project.
Anybody, just as long as they don't ruin the storyline like they did with the Miami Vice movie. (Alright, it wasn't TERRIBLE after seeing it a second time, but it was nowhere near as entertaining as the original series...)

McConaughey would be a disaster. He plays nothing but the same hick-accented person, in every movie. He is certainly no Magnum (from Detroit!). Steve Zahn as Rick actually sounds pretty good. Rick was always a little crazy, and Zahn can sure pull that off (seen Saving Silverman? hilarious).
Zahn sounds like a great fit, and I think William H Macy would make a great Higgins, he at least has the acting chops for it. As for Magnum, not many of us will like whoever they pick if it's not Selleck. But I've been wrong before - thought Michael Keaton was the best Batman ever, untouchable. Until Christian Bale made it his.
well i like this serie, now find a good actor able to do the same as Tom sellek i don t think so. there s not only Magnum but also higgins, rick and terry hard casting to find. hope that the movie will be not desastrous like Charly Angels or Starky & hutch. i like the idea to see George Clooney in this role.
Agree on that. Personally, I think Vince Vaughn would be great as Magnum. Roughly the same build as Selleck, can do the goofy side of Magnum but intense enough for the other side. And I think they should have a 360 Spider.
I like Vince V, but using him would turn it into a joke like the Starsky and Hutch movie. I liked it, but it would not fit in with Magnum. Magnum was and should be at a different level.
