This winter I plan on doing some maintenance to the car. I thought I would see if anyone had more or less I should do.
The more I drive the car the better it runs. I have run 2 tanks of gas through it so all the old gas is now gone. I just filled it up with some ethanol free gas. Since syncing the carbs and getting the idle right it runs great! I just took it out and could not believe how good it is running! It sounds so damn good with the Ansa exhaust. Now I am not sure I want to do anything to it.

What I have done so far.
Timing belts and tensioners. The seals were good and the water pump is 2 years old with less than 200 miles
    Oil change
    Transaxle oil change
    new oil light sending unit
new oil pressure sending unit. ( looks like I have a interment short, I have to find that)

    What I plan on doing,
1, Replace the heater hose that goes to the front of the car. I dread doing it. I cut off the bad spot at the clamp so good till winter.
    2, Rebuild the carbs.
3, Possibly replace the points, rotor, distributor cap, plug wires and coils. the cap and rotor were last replacer in 1990, around 18k miles on them. I need to pull the cap and take a look and check the plug wires. But hay I am sure 34 year old wires are fine.
4, remove the black paint on the valve cover.
5, Fuel filter. I do not see where it has been changed.
6, Flush the antifreeze. the water pump was done 2 years ago but I do not see when or if it was flushed.
    7, Check all the hoses.

If you guys can think of anything els or have any advice it would be appreciated. Its has started running good I am not sure I want to mess with it but some stuff has got to be done.

If it’s running great I wouldn’t bother with a carb rebuild. How are the fuel hoses?

The fuel hoses are good. The previous owner had them replaced, but I can’t find where the filter was replaced.

Spark plugs? If removing the valve covers for paint stripping I would check the valve adjustment.

I forgot to list plugs, I replaced them when I did the timing belt. I will check the valves, did not think of that one. Thanks.

Boots look good but after running it I am not sure one of my fans is working correctly. I will have to trouble shoot that.
