Why a 83 944? Why don't you get a 1985.5 or newer for the upgraded insides and other stuff?

yeah i loooove the 85.5 and after but i am on a fairly low budget... which i could find an 85.5 for however they are verrrrrrry few and far between... so i may have to compromise

Your young if i were you i would wait a few years and buy a newer more dependable car. Invest some of the money and use some and get something that won't be so costly in repairs and insurance. My wife had a 944 turbo back in the day and at that time they were pricey to repair.
