    Hi all!

Its time for my 355 to get a major service including cambelt change the meter says 8000km.
In Sweden we only have Autoropa, what i know of, that does this service. The coast is about 4500 dollar and includes all parts, but they dont change the water hoses or tensioner bearings. I was thinking of buying the ricambi major set and ask them too change all things.

If i do that, they say they only work with original parts and cant guarantee the work if i dont use the original.

What do you think? What shall i do?

    Regards Mats

You might want to ask in the Swedish thread but I'd be surprised if there was not an alternative independent - even most official dealers are happy to use customer supplied parts altho without warranty - the uprated tensioner bearings can be bought within the EU direct from Hills and a service kit from https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/PagesExternal/ShowKits.aspx

Just a suggestion. I normally get my Majors done after the winter. I dont know what its like there. But to do a Major service and then all that new equipment sit for months seems like a waste. I think its better to do it directly after then have fresh parts that did not sit there for months unused.

    Hej Mats

In Sweden we also have Autocura and Von Braun Sportscars who work on these cars. Both are in the Gothenburg area and I don´t know what they charge for a job like this but since they are not official Ferrari workshops I guess they might have less problems working with non original parts so might be worth to check it out. I don´t know much about Von Braun but I know a guy who have serviced his Lamborghinis at Autocura and he thinks they are great.

To all others thanks so far i will check with autocura too and also check with the uk firm for parts.

Do i need too think of checking anything else? The car works great and has had a complete restoration at 4000km.The last change of cambelt was 1000km thre years ago.

This forum is fantastic and i have already got a lot of tips

    Regards to all M
