Polyamid 4.6. The guy from the shop told me it is the same material as the ones that came out. Other pad is reserved by Fdekeu.
New TO bearing and seals. Clutch ready for use. Just have to align the plate. Will do it on the car itself. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
WARNING the tool does not fit out of the box i found out just now. !! There is need for some Dremel work at first glance. I'll keep you posted.
New TO bearing + seals in place. Do not forget to grease with "brake parts " grease. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have put the rear U shape seal with the open side to the interior ( if you know what i mean) This way the internal oil pressure "opens" the U seal to make it tight against the shaft. I think this is correct but can anybody confirm?
Finished my cam covers with VHT wrinkle paint. Great result but only after 3 !! failures Here is what my thoughts are about the VHT and 3 efforts before getting it right. - spray from rather far away (+-40 cm) in big sweeping moves. - sweep over the whole part in 2 (N-Z and E-W) directions in every coat - Do not spray in one spot when forgetting to cover a corner, always make full sweeps. If a corner is not covered sweep over the whole part and stay far away. - I used only 2 ( yes 2 ) "normal" good covering coats. Not 3 "thick" coats as advised. - Leave +- 5min between coats but start gently drying with a heat gun in between.Keeps the part at a good temperature. It was only 15° degrees here ! - And this my most important experience learned ; you must dry with a heat gun. Sweep continues over the whole part. This way you can control/steer the wrinkle effect everywhere. If a part does not wrinkle good you can stay a bit longer there with the gun. I tried air drying and drying in an oven and both gave a very bad uneven effect. Photo's to follow when covers are completely dry. And as said this is my experience. Grts Patrick
That looks really good; great effort. I'll pop mine in the post to you. If you can have them done by the weekend, that would be great
Even cheaper https://www.ebay.de/itm/20-24mm-Anti-rust-Motorcycle-Clutch-Tool-Lock-Nut-Spanner-Wrench-GW-for-Honda/272592162250?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 It seems i ordered this one to and it was this one i used. Not the chrome one.
Yeaah , my second one . Very easy. You screw the pressure disk bolts in very light so the disk just still can move. Then you align the whole set on the engine manipulating the axes. You redraw the clutch very gentle in a straight line and secure the bolts . Retry one more time; if ok tighten the bolts to 13Nm.
Tripple seals are installed. Used a regulated heatgun to heat up to 120° and a socket to pre stretch. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's a ring nut tool from Amazon that I found "works". It requires a similar modification. I used a dremel. 1/2" drive.
Correct. Thats what i did also. Dremel a bit the inside and make the lips smaller. To make the lips smaller i worked only one side of all the lips so the other side stays perfectly at 90 °. I choose to work only on the "loosen" side of the lips. I have also the big version ( in use from Fdekeu) for the big clutch bolt. But that one needs no modification.
Speaking of the clutch. Would it be possible to put the clutch pack on the engine and afterwards the pumpkin? Use the big bolt to pull the the clutch axle into the big pumpkin bearing.
