I wish to thank the Barrett Dealership and all of the troops for a wonderful event today for the Make a Wish Foundation. What a Hoot!! And it was a blast leaving Austin this morning and driving with all of the other Ferrari owners to San Antonio. It was a beautiful drive.

It is so nice to be with a group of people that care and share their good fortune with others. It is always a pleasure to give people rides in the cars.

I have to say the last ride was the best. Just as I was about to leave, a Make A Wish Child showed up after the event was over and most everyone had left. His family had left Laredo in the rain this morning and were running very late. I had already loaded up, but I walked over to he and his family and ask him if he had showed up for a ride. He said yes. So, I drove my car over to them, and his brother, took him out of his wheel chair and placed him in my car. What a thrill for both of us. He had never been in a Ferrari and he had a blast. He was smiling from ear to ear.

When we went back to the dealership, the tv media person was still there, and he interviewed the young man. He stated into the microphone that it was an awesome ride. So, the day ended perfectly for me giving this young man a ride in the Boxer.

Thanks again to everyone for a wonderful day and for allowing us to share.

    Dana

The smiles, cackles and howls of the passengers were priceless. My two favorites:
    1) A woman around the same age as my mother who threatened her husband as he opened her door after the ride that she'd never leave my passenger seat because Fcars were too much fun.
    2) An eight year old boy, griining ear to ear, insisting after 4 previous rides in different Fcars that my 328GTS "definitely felt like the fastest Ferrari here". Kids can make you feel great! I tend to doubt this one had ridden with Miguel.

And we raised over $1400!!! Thank you all so much for an absolutely awesome event! Everyone went home with a smile and a lifetime of memories, so I think that measures up to a success!

And I rode in my first ferrari, too. Now...who's gonna be the first to let me drive?? :)
