I've got an 8 yr old car nut and his 5 yr old brother that are trying to stay up for the race, 2 AM start time for us. We spend a few Saturday nights at the local dirt track where the racing often ends after midnight so somewhat use to a late night.

Anyone else dealing with rowdy kids fighting sleep?

My 8 yr old said she wanted to watch the race. She got ready with Ferrari T-shirt on top of PJs, American Doll with Ferrari Stickers, etc... She is already sleeping on the couch :)

My 5 year old brother will probably watch the race on Tivo with my dad tomorrow. I'm gonna try and stay up to watch it though :).

I'm going to end up sleeping through most of Easter Sunday tomorrow!

The 5 yr old has devised a "signal" (his word) for us to use to wake him up when the race starts...we're suppose to "snap" our fingers!

3 AM to 5 is a little bit hard to pull, tried it once, and when I thought Ferrari was guaranteed a victory and I found out Schumacher's engine blew. Dont want that to happen again, so I'm not going to try.

It would be nice if the kids didn't have to see all the "Girls Gone Wild" ads.

Kids today have it too easy.

Back in my day, we had to wait at least one week for ABC's Wide World of Sports to process and edit the film of F1. The local news paper gave no coverage (still the case in Los Angeles) and Road and Track or Car and Driver took two months to publish their stories.
