malaysian Ferrari owners?

Hi Mike, I'm on my iPad so will post the pics later. It's a gem to drive. Very sublime handling & quite a glass house so blind spots are minimal. I liken it as a big 911 as the rear do go out if you're adventurous but easily recovered with light counter steer. I've taken adults on rear from KL to Melaka & back comfortably but no 6' back there. Boot space is good too.

Maintenance is essential but not that bad since its offset by low entry price. Everything works on my car down to switches & even the rear aero foil etc. it was ex Raja Nazrin's car & we both spared no expenses on it with a thick history file. She was also selected for 2012 Mille Miglia for being original which I entered, completed & went on a tour around the French Riviera and shipped back. Upon clearing the customs, I took it to a Penang trip and back.

The car has good torque which is the creamy part of V12 & believe me, I overtook 599s on the Italian country sides on 3rd gear. Went on to chase F40s and 288GTO but the modern V8 will kill you for dinner in corners She comes with Full manuals, toolkit etc. the rest on sale are well, you'd better check on their history & condition. I'm selling cos I have too many cars now & not using her but if she doesn't go to a good home, I'd rather keep her since its known to be the most beautiful 2+2 since Daytona.

 

I was just at Ah Fatt's place last week.....was passing the NPE so dropped by to see the Countach and also check his workshop out......

Jon, have you sent your 328 in for its works? if you have not, you should check this guy out. He was the one I had mentioned in a couple a posts ago. A true indy guy who would prob do things as you want to without putting his hands into too many cars at the same time.
I also saw a 328 next door at Garang Continentals. Have you checked them out?

Thanks for enlightening me. I can see from your garage those fine collection of cars you have. I can give her all the TLC she deserves but I can't be with her all the time, hehe. And, I will only be keeping one car, no point having two since I won't be home most of the time. Would you consider that a good home, Jon?

Thanks Mike, they're just a small humble collection compared to bros here. The 456 is better to be driven, like all old cars & I just remembered that I changed both door seals & rebuilt the steering rack recently. The car is better than the day I took it, about Rm50k was spent over the last 3yrs to make her good but that's because I cannot afford a breakdown in long distance driving. She was my daily here & also starts on first crank even after sleeping for 3-4weeks but there is a battery cut off switch in the bonnet. I also have a spare clutch set & new Pzeros for it in Singapore only for buyers direct to me so you get them free, worth several US$ thousands.

Hi Michael, Allzim (Zims Autotechnik) is US based workshop & online spareparts seller for German cars. their water pump is cheaper & good, based on reviews from rennlist.

I'm planning to swap my 944 with elise later.. still cannot afford Ferrari at the moment

I had overlooked this posting of yours! Well it would be good if you could "retire" and get back home. Anyway, get your timing belt done lah asap!! you've been giving that same excuse for months now!!! LOL....just kidding my friend! anyway, we're planning our next drive on the 31st tentatively. this time it's to Tanjung Tualang. any chance of joining us? my car is still getting done. some parts are yet to arrive. thinking of changing all the bushes as well since i'm already there but the bushes are bloody expensive. i'v come across this site:http://www.superformance.co.uk/index.htm and prices seem half of that of factory parts. might consider it.
and yes the 458 in our little group is something isn't it.....just brilliant. but the only thing, (if there is any) is that it just sounds a tad little mundane. the stock exhaust doesn't do justice to that brilliant machine.

Can use same excuse? LOL I go to Tanjung Tualang & Kg Timah quite often. A few relatives stay there. must try the udang 'big head'..

yes, the exhaust but it looks superb.. maybe it has 'garang' exhaust note at higher rpm with built-in bypass valve??

What do you guys think of the LaFerrari? Any of you getting one?

I heard from Naza Italia that Ferrari SpA were EXTREMELY selective and only allocated one LaFerrari for the Malaysian market, so 8 or 9 interested clients had to compete for it. Was just wondering if any of you guys happen to be the lucky chap to win that lady's hand in marriage?

A couple of my lucky friends (non Malaysians) were invited to purchase it but not sure if they booked it. They had a preview last month in Maranello & I think factory will get them to sign a non-sale for a window period, just a guess to prevent flippers.

That said, I've been so busy & didn't study all the new cars @ this show so can't comment on them.
