Just over 50 minutes left in P2 and Massa is in P1 over Kimi by .807 seconds. Hamilton is in third back 1.576 off Massa's time. Oop's things just changed and Alonso is .795 behind Massa in second; Kimi third and Hamilton 4th. Heikki is down in 8th one ahead of teammate Fisichella. Ralf is in 5th.

Good to know. Too bad SPEED only airs the second session. I want Ferrari to win everythin obviously, but I really want Hamilton to do well.

I'm not watching it on Speed (it's only first practice) - I'm on live timing. F1 needs to take a lesson from IMSA live timing of the ALMS races.....

They are saying it's second practice, however, that doesn't come on until 1 am my time. Things are looking at a lull right now. Lewis is 1.576 behind Massa in fourth. Luizzi is ahead of Speed which is good but it will be interesting to see what transpires with the "parts" situation.

Shows Practice 1 for me. What do you find better about the ALMS timing? I haven't really explored it, but the few times I have checked it out, I didnt like it. Seems to refresh very slowly compared to F1's.

    Session over and it's Massa (yeah!!), Alonso - .248, Hamilton - .740, Kimi -.807, Nico -1.336.

I've not had any problems with IMSA timing being slow to refresh - it provides more details plus you can listen to Globecast 157 at the same time and hear John with live commentary. It makes staring at a computer screen more "exciting".

Thanks for the updates Carol! I read that Massa is running without the "movable" floorboards. I am tuned into globalcast now. Have to wait until 11pm pacific time for the next free practice.

hmph, so far im confused. During practice they say Kimi takes 10 spot penalty, yet i quickly logged on to Formula1.com and they are saying he does not have one! I hope he doesnt, i want to see him duke it out with massa!

Anyone else catch that crazy tyre shredding action with Christian?
