Anyone staying up to watch it live? I read online that MS' engine was holding up well and the car was running very quickly.
Damn...the need to do away with this stupid 1 engine for 2 weekends rule. Edit: If the Renaults start from the front I think there'll be no catching them.
Well, lets just hope Alonso crashes out. If not, the best Michael can hope for is perhaps a 3rd or somewhere in the points. Alonso got the jump on everyone last year by racking up alot of points (wins)early in the season. This allowed him to take it easy for the remainder of the year.
Great result for Fisichella.....he'sa very appy! Button, 2nd Nico Rosberg 3rd.....Wow that guys quick for his 2nd race Schumi....changed engine so back to 14th (or was it 16th)
Good on Fissy... now turn it into a result GF! Rosbergs stock is going skywards.... he's already worth two Webbers IMO. Ferrari will come strong in the race.....

Interesting to see what pit strategy KR, JPM, and FA are running and if it justifies their 3rd quali times. Great performace by Rosberg, but I think he's running a little light. I'm more interested in seeing engine reliability for the cars that are using the engines for the 2nd straight weekend because the V8s rev and vibrate much more (already 5+ engine changes!). I wouldn't be too surprised to see at least 5 engine failures in the race considering they just came back from Bahrain and now are in 100+ F temps.
I think the Honda are strong this year. I see Button pitting only 1-2 laps ahead of KR or FA. Rosberg was strong last race too... He came from almost last to score points. So I really dont think he is that light. Its going to be interesting tomorrow.
Well, looking at Alonso's QLF results suggests that this won't be a repeat of last year. I didn't want him running away with the championship again. I would rather some retirements, and a championship close in the points (with good battles as well of course), rather than 20 races with no retirements and predictable outcomes. Someone should switch the wires on Briatore's "Fisi random car malfunction" button.
Where was this super quali expert Webber... lool ??? GO NICO, but let Michael pass for the championship ;-)
what a waste for MS...i just came back from the quali...it's burning out there man..but says will be a wet race tomoro, can;t wait then, and hopefully...anyways, i'm off to tiesto's party in the circuit now...cya guys tomoro..
WET RACE...........!!!?? It's an MS walkover then!! and, I'm afraid our mate "Mass-a-mistakes" will probably chuck it away again........ I reckon the wet is the only way Webber will have a chance to beat Rosberg too... But only on mistakes, not speed. Rosberg is surely too new to do a wet race without a scenic trip.... Happily proved wrong though......
well, i'm really hoping for a wet race too, not just for MS, but for me and my frens as well. the heat is just terrible, me being a malaysian, saying that, shows how terrible it is. but it;s kinda windy. according to reports, the rain is posied to fall as soon as the race is starting. i dunno, maybe he;s right. the race is supposed to start around 3pm tomoro, malaysian timing. just now, the rain actually started to fall around 330 pm, so i'm just counting on it. pray guys...not just for MS, but also that i'll survive tomoro...lol
Alonso said in Spain TV that they had a problem on refueling with the fuel gate before the qualifing lap, and they think the filled up completly the fuel tank, so they will have to rethink the strategy for tomorrow's race. - Julio.
I am sure that this will be an awesome race with Kimi in sixth and Alonso seventh with Michael about 7 places behind. Or it could be Button's first win. Rosberg was splendid. He was super articulate in the press conference unlike the mumbling Fisi . It'll be nice if he can finish on the podium tomorrow. I am glad to see a smile back on Frank Williams face. For such a competitive man used to winning championships, it must have been really painful being in the mid-pack. Now FW needs to do the one thing he has always lacked - retain the talent - being tightfisted, he has found young chargers but they have left him for better opportunities elsewhere. The prospect of rain is good - it will make things more exciting for sure....
On Fisichella: I'm hoping he finishes ahead of Alonso, because I think he really needs to, confidence wise. That, and I'd really like to see him beat 'Fabulous Fernando' for once (and climb up on his car and do the 'hip sway dance'!). On Rosberg: He's quickly becoming one of my favorites (but I still can't give him permission to take a win away from Schumi!). On Jenson: I'd kind of like to see him win a GP, but not if it means taking the chance away from Fisi (or Schumi, obviously). On Schumacher: I'm disappointed with him having to start ten spots back (in 15th). On Massa: I just dunno... I'm also hoping both McLarens block Alonso like a pair of bulls, so Michael has time to move up. This one's going to be good!
