Since he was trying to get out, I suspect it was him. If so, big problem and very unfortunate, both for him and F. >Nicely done Kubica.[/QUOTE] Awesome.
>he didn't even have a guy behind him to give him pressure. Not so sure about no pressure. He was most certainly pissed about that pit stop and was racing Kimi. Not an excuse - irrespective of that he shouldn't have spun. And to get stuck too ... damn.
Kubica has the East Eu voievod look. It's very cool actually - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voivode and hopefully he'll become the voievod of F1 at some point.

Do we know now what caused Massas trip into the gravel? Was it his own mistake or a technical problem? Niki Lauda said on TV that seeing the onboard footage with the rear just spinning round it rather looked like something in the suspension broke
It's funny, you forget how much you miss Kimi's post race interviews. I think he turned that one into one big word. Kimi WDC 2008
Anyone still rather Massa over Alonso? FA has shown a lot in the last two races and while I've never been a big fan of his before I'm impressed.
Ah, the excuses piling on. Hint: Watch the first corner of the first lap at Melbourne. Speed TV's reporter mentioned the fact that Massa wasn't even looking at the rear suspension when exiting the car is a good indication that the problem lied with the part between the steering wheel and the fuel tank. Fantastic race, super result. Congratulations to Kimi!
alonso likes Renault. He is the big fish in a small pond. He is quiet for now. things may change when he gets hopelessly out of the points. whether Alonso would ever fit in with Ferrari is only a guess. My guess is no but I don't know the people involved. Let's just say Alonso's history leaves alot of room for doubt to say the least.
+1! IMHO, Ferrari doesn't need FA...he's way too much of a liability. Ferrari would have a perfect setup to win multiple championships with a team that consisted of Kimi and a competent second driver. However, if Kimi leaves, I still think the possibility for disaster would greatly increase by adding on FA. Ferrari would have to constantly "walk on eggshells" so as to not bruise FA's delecate overinflated ego. And heaven forbid if Ferrari accidentally hired a second driver who matched or exceded FA. Yikes!...I would hate to see the fallout from that ordeal.
and they never won a WDC while at Ferrari. My memory is they were both prima donnas. can't stand either of them.
If Senna hadn't taken out Prost deliberately, Prost would have won the title for Ferrari. The prima donna part didn't matter.
Yeah, that's what you said when I made a similar comment as Andreas when Alonso passed Massa for the win at the European GP last year, and all you Felipe lovers said that is was a problem with the car or the tires or blah blah blah. He's a second rate driver in a first rate car, and this is the second race in a row he has made a major mistake and took himself out.
the seat did break then AND the tires were bad too! makes perfect sense. LOL I'm getting as tired of defending Phil as a certain candidate for President is getting tired of defending his minister of 20 years.
Great job by Heikki. If it weren't for bad luck with the yellows in Australia, he could have left Malaysia with 14 points. I think the McLaren battle will get closer - Heikki seems to manage his tire wear better than Hamilton while the latter is a better overtaker. Kimi was supreme today - driving at a comfortable pace well within his limits while Massa seemed to be driving at 11/10ths to keep up with him and hence spin out of control. It would have been better for Massa if had acknowledged that Kimi was much faster today and hung back a bit and collected 8 points. Great job by Kubica today - he would be higher up the championship table if Nakajima didnt punt him out in Australia. I think Alonso has driven as well to take that ****-box and get some points out of it. The car seemed to be slowing as the race went on - perhaps he cut revs to preserve the engine. I didn't understand Hamilton's tire strategy today - why did he go soft-soft-hard when everyone else did two stints on the hard and one soft. He was faster on the hard tires which suffered less graining and longer usable life. Very strange strategy.
FA on your team is like having a big wart on your nose. No matter how good your doing it's always out there looking for the attention. In the end he's bad for the team. Distractions, conflicts, attitude, all the things that take away from the group effort.
Do you mean "Nig Nogs" ? If so young man shame on you. Sad thing is that the mods will let you get away with racist crap like that Very sad, very fchat. Or do you mean something else?
Nope, no pressure at all. They're just out for a Sunday drive. Not blind -- Massa messed up twice without TC. Pressure or no pressure, that's bad. Just how much pressure though? Losing 8 pts for the team, trying to get 2 more for himself -- bad. But just how important at Ferrari would it have been if he could'a gotten 10-9 versus 8-11? Choice of pit strategies? Is Ferrari pitting their drivers against each other? But now it's 0-11, so that matter is settled. A shame, because more people up front is a better show. Now it's a reliability season -- between the two Finns. But somehow I have this mental picture of Chicken Little celebrating, because a cargo door blew off a DC10, and somebody's luggage landed on Main street.
True indeed. He' a Prima Donna to say the least. High maintenence to be sure. All I'm saying is that he drove his heart out with inferior machinery the last two races and impressed me. Massa made brain fade type mistakes while piloting the class of the field and makes me wonder. It may well be that Alonso would detract more from the team than he'd bring to but....
