Good morning, good afternoon and good evening everyone. It's 1230 local time here, and hot as hell. The race will be on in less than 5 hours time, and i thought i'd start the thread early and update everyone on the weather situation here.

It's very sunny and bright, and i doubt the drivers will experience the effect of a later racetime. Over here, compared to Melbourne, 7pm is actually bright. Unless it rains of cos.

It rained terribly between 2pm - 230 pm. And then, later in the evening, it rained heavily between 7pm-9pm.

Anyways, i hope for an interesting race. Rain will definitely add colours to the race. :)

Kimi's car does not seem much heavier than Brawn's car. Giving that ferrari employs the KERS system, which adds extra weight. Is Kimi carrying less fuel than Button??

Ferrari didn't run KERS in some of practice at least.
    Maybe not in the race?

According to James Allen, Kimi did not use the KERS button for his last flying lap.

Looked at the weather report earlier and they're expecting thunder storms all day.

With KERS the thing is to not apply it until there's traction. In the dry that means not until onto the straights.
In the wet with water everywhere will they ever have the traction to turn on another 100 HP?

Lets hope it makes its mind up in the next hour and a half.
The later start puts the race further into dropping temps than previously.

    Good morning everybody!

While it might under normal circumstances be a good idea to load up Massa with as much fuel as he can carry, that strategy fires back if it rains and they'll have to change tires...

German TV says that a) Heidfeld is heaviest and b) both Ferrari are driving with KERS. Funny thing is, everyone their reporter asks tells them a different time for the rain to start, ranging from "right before the start" (Heidfeld) to "not today" (Ecclestone)
