it's almost 9 am local time, about 6 hours to go for the race. bright, warm and sunny. no sign of any thunderstorms yet.

hope it'll be a good race.

I watched qualifying last night from 1:30-3. When the race starts at 3 and ends at 5 thats pushing it, that means I would go to bed after the grandparents wake up. Tomorrow afternoon on Speed seems to be the better option for me.

i really doubt. it's still warm and sunny here. but it's still about 3 hours to go, and Malaysian weather can change by a snap of the fingers.

even if it rain, it'll rain about 30-40 mins into the race. it did rain here after quali, about 30 mins after quali was done. so, i'm crossing my fingers. i do hope for rain midway thru the race tho. it'll only spice things up.

Hi Will - watch it on the computer along with those of us on this thread who watch live on Speed and live timing. Well, unless you don't want to know what happens before you go to the watching party in Addison tomorrow afternoon.

only 2 hours and 15 minutes until it's on Speed here at my location (pre-race at 1:30 am) - noticed Speed is running qualifying again prior to the race. I'm on the Discovery Channel learning all about icebergs right now.

I'll with you on the rain - it would definitely add an element of challenge to the race. Let's just cross our fingers for a clean start and first turn.

After a couple cups of coffee I should be able to make it. For a bit of local flavor I've got Tiger (beer) in the fridge that I plan to open when the red lights go off.

    May the best Ferrari win!

I do not know how you all do it! After last night's qualifying, I was so pumped up, I could not sleep for a long. Now after a few glasses of port, I do not think I am going to make it. I have my live timing page ready, my tvu player so I can watch it on the computer and the tv/tivo ready to go. No if I can last :)

Hi Steve - "great minds think alike" - you and coffee, I made a pot of espresso and drank the whole thing (I think I can make it too!) VERY good choice of beers to celebrate the start - (Tiger beer - ahhh memories with cucumber sandwiches on top Victoria Peak longtime past) - my celebratory beer choices are limited Duvel and Stella from Belgium, 1664 from France or Peroni from Italy.

    Cheers, Salute, Prost

No negative waves my friend! (remember Kelly's Heroes?) YOU CAN DO IT !!! make a cup of coffee or two or three. Think of it this way, you have a definite advantage over the rest of us to the east!
