Match the quality of the Japanese, yea right. If you believe that let me show you this bridge I got.
Kris is right, Malcom should sit down and shut up. He has not done anything positive for the car industry yet and this won't change that record.

I 'm still waiting for somebody to start importing Trabants. Just think of it, pitch the 2 stroke, put in a 200 hp something or other. Lower it, springs, shocks, bars, tires, flame job. Call me crazy but I think it would be cool. I want it to commute in.

On Hyundai, up until recently I would have agreed with you. But they've made exceptional strides in quality, right up there with Honda and Toyota.

Bringing the Subaru 360 over put that company back decades. If he would have waited until they had a car instead of that POS they would not have had to spend so many years gaining acceptance in this market living it down.

Oh, I agree completely. I have faith in China, just not Malcom. As the article said this company has the ninth, thats NINTH, rated car in China. And I bet that's out of ten. Any country in its infancy of development of a new industry takes time to get it right. And to try to break into a new market, the most discerning market in the world, the most commercially important market in the world with the ninth best? That will put that company back, that will probably put China back. Remember the early Japanese cars? And that was from a country that had been in the auto industry at least since the thirties. Besides my opinion has a lot more to do with Malcom than China. China will make it happen but it will be inspite of him.
