    I'm not sure what is going on there. Mechanicals and cooling towers and other electical/cable systems would be on the roof where it began by evidence of the last link you posted w/ the pictures. Nothing there indicates the "steel" is burning at all. I'd bet there is much more to this story than what is depicted in the video

    Uh, yea. I'd love to duke it out with those people but fortunately don't have access. ;)

    Anything will burn if it's hot enough, implode on itself is another story.

    What's with the Mandarin Oriental Hotels having fires before they open? The one in Boston that opened last fall had a fire before it opened.

    The fire probably started at the lower levels where materials were most likely being stored.

    Fireworks landing on the roof set the thing on fire. It was the speed at which the blaze spread that was truly frightening.
