I really like the Mangusta in blue, what is your Mangusta favorite colour? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm definitely with you Jorgen, if I were going to start from scratch (like you are right now), I would go with this color blue, just gorgeous. BUT you can't go wrong with any color goose as it is the extreme beauty of this car's design that makes any color a winner! Howz your 'hunt' going? I am guessing you checked on the available cars we all know about, any grab your interest?
This beauty belongs to Steve Liebenow in the US. Steve has a great knowledge around the Mangusta cars and does most work himself. Image Unavailable, Please Login
this one has been listed with PIM for a while, but I just noticed...sold. http://www.pim.net/Mangusta.html
I have found an Altissimo door light, that I don't need. It is grubby, a bit of FLITZ, would make it look good. The rubber sleeve has FIAT 938.910 on the backside. Possibly someone knows the application? Could it belong to a Mangusta? I would rather see it put to good use... Regards, Alberto Image Unavailable, Please Login

There's something about the purity of its shape that makes the Mangusta less color sensitive than almost any other car.
I heard a designer say that his measure of a good car design is that it looks good in any color. (and no, it wasn't Chris Bangle )
I have no idea, but I am guessing Denis or another 'historian' around here might? For such a short production run (401), there sure seems to be a wide variety of colors and apparently not too many of each....LOT'S of red (which still looks damn good), and a few blacks for sure, but MANY one-offs Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's why I ask. I'm not sure how many are original. In any case it looks good in the colors of its era and not many cars can say that.
When I visited the factory in December 1970 there was a mix of new Mangustas and customer cars in for service. Looking at the photos I took that day I find the following colors: black white (Paris show car) red yellow orange silver grey metallic tan metallic blue metallic green metallic Every Mangusta I have seen over the years that I know to be original has been one of the above colors. However, since the Mangustas were built on the same assembly line as the Maserati Ghiblis I'm sure you could get one one in whatever color Ghia was shooting the Maseratis with.
