the cop said I needed to call the city cause the road has a very big dip that is hard to see.

has this happened to anyone before? the bumper is done it cracked where the bolts hold it in on both sides and pushed up on my fenders (which need to be fixed)
bumper $750, fenders (if needed) $450ish what ever the paint/body work will cost..
and if my fenders need to come off, my side skirts will done too (they are Glued on)

now my car is at stock height I KNOW ferrari's GT3's and Lambos would just get worked here..

Dave, sorry to see that this happened to your car. While it might be worth a try, I doubt the city will do anything to assist you. That manhole cover does not look very high, I'm surprised it caught the front edge of your car.

Sorry Dave, but Bill is right, the city won't do a darn thing. But wait, didn't that happen while doing some drifting at PBIR? ;)
Must have been one of those manhole "towers" which seem to pop up from time to time due to an extremely accurate survey coupled with precise construction and a solid compacted base. Bummer deluxe. :(

If you make a claim for property damage, you are entitled to the cost of repair PLUS diminution in value of the car (value of a pristine Ferrari versus one that has now had some body work).
You'd need an expert in car valuation to determine the diminution in value.
Not many are aware that when one has an accident, the claim can be extended to include the diminution aspect.
It's difficult to do, but it might be worth the effort.

Dave I figured it was high, that's way I deemed it a "tower". I was being facetious about the quality of construction, which probably helped to make it that way.
Hope you can get retribution for your damage, aggravation, and wasted time.
