Hi, as the new owner of a 91 TR with a F113B engine (KE jet), which service and parts manuals cover that version? I have the older manuals for the F113A engined car with K jet, but it is of only limited use if I have a FI issue. I also heard that all US cars are F113B engined, but is that true for the very early cars?
All US TR are similar to your F113B (KE-Jet without Lambda) engine, but they use the F113A040 (KE-Jet with Lambda) engine -- so what they have in common is the KE-Jet portion (whereas, the early euro TR are the F113A K-Jet without Lambda engine). Fortunately, for the spare parts catalog, one SPC covers all versions so you can either get a print copy of 587/90 or you can access it online at either www.ricambiamerica.com or at www.eurospares.co.uk The complete wiring diagram for your F113B TR is a separate booklet 459/86: Image Unavailable, Please Login For understanding the KE-Jet injection system, you have two options: 1. They did a separte booklet "KE-JETRONIC STANDARD VERSION" part no. 95990856 (which covers both the ignition and injection systems on the F113B engine): Image Unavailable, Please Login or 2. There are two versions of the TR WSM -- one only has pages D1-D67 and only covers the K-Jet without Lambda system (I'm guessing that this is the WSM that you have). The more complete TR WSM also has pages D68-D106 which covers the KE-Jet with Lambda system (when the O2 sensors are unplugged, this system works exactly the same as your F113B system so it has the same information as in 95990856). For troubleshooting problems, they did a publication 470/87 called "DIAGNOSIS SHEETS" -- for you, the important sheets would be: Diagnosis Sheet N. 1 - Ignition control unit Marelli (Microplex) MED 120B Diagnosis Sheet N. 5 - Injection control unit for Bosch KE JETRONIC (sans Lambda) Good luck with your TR -- may your Gremlins be few and easy to find
Many thanks! Any guess where I can buy the manuals? This car is a fine runner, but in need of a BIG service. I have restored other cars from the crank up, this will be my first TR, although I have seen it done.
