I don't have the words to express our heart-felt thanks to the many people that helped me, my family, my friends and my neighbors recover from the Southern Cal fires. Here are some personal thanks:

    - Many thanks to Liberty Mutual car insurance for providing me with the funds needed to replace my cars.
    - Many thanks to Farmer's home insurance for providing me with the funds needed to re-build my home.
    - Many thanks to McKenna Porsche for selling me a perfect GT3 RS at a very fair price.
    - Many thanks to all on FerrariChat and other forums (e.g., 6speedonline, Rennlist) for their kind words and very welcome advise.
    - Many thanks to Mike S for inviting me and my wife to his lovely home and offering to sell his CS to me.
    - Many thanks to my wife who shares my enthusiasm for special cars, and was willing to replace our cars before we re-build the house!

And very special thanks to Pat at Ferrari of Orange County for locating a perfect CS like the one I lost, and selling it to me at a special reduced price. The people at Ferrari of Orange County are just a real pleasure to do business with.

Here are some happier pictures of the GT3 RS being delivered to my rental house and the CS after being delivered from a collector to Ferrari of Orange County.

One thing I've learned from this experience is that people are far more important than wood and steel. And, be sure your insurance is adequate for your property. Sadly, some of my friends had inadequate insurance that will not allow them to re-build their homes.

Bill - It sounds like you deserve the good fortune (very well understanding the misfortune that preceeded it). You have apparently treated others as you are now being treated. It is no accident you are rising (literally) from the ashes. Best to you and your family. Bob

I was very relieved to hear that one of my ex gf's house was spared and sad and shocked when seeing your post and pics of your burned house and cars. The melted CS with only the exhaust left was really disheartening. I dont know you but I'm happy that things are working out for the better. I wish you and your family a speedy recovery. Is that a corsa CS? I can only remember seeing one rosso corsa CS on F chat before. Is it possibly the same one that was originally bought by an ex fighter pilot that sold the car with a CS surfboard and a ball cap? Beautiful car that I would have liked to buy myself.

PS I concurr with RBK, certainly not by chance that people are treating you well in your time of need.

Wow Bill, talk about cat like, you sure landed on your feet!
NIce pu in both cases and the nicest combo for the RS I have seen. Very glad to see it all coming aroung for you after such a tragic loss.
I was standing in the garden at my sons new home yesterday, talking with him about the rebound and changes that have come out of a full loss house fire last spring and some very wonderful growth seems to happen for some, as well as a deep respect and reverance for the things that really count. Hope your ensuing year carries the wonder that his has.
