I've been embarrased to bring this up but since you opened the subject... Ferrari's actually do not have cup holders? My Lexus and even the 10 year hold Honda has them all over the place. It's such a habit now I can't imagine not having a Starbucks in the console.

Greg- The new ones do, but the older ones do not. Lots of solutions people have used, usually replacing the ash tray with a holder.

Quiz question: Looking at those two leading cupholder photos you can quickly tell when that 575M was built. Anybody know the answer?

Don- No, it was built in CY 04, so either a MY 04 or 05. The American flag emblem celebrated 50 years since Chinetti became the first dealer in the US. That emblem was fitted to all Ferraris imported to the US that were built in CY 2004. My November 03 MY 04 does not have it and early 05s do.

    Taz.

I put the car in a remote storage garage, yesterday. I have four cars and a two car garage at home. It's only a few blocks away. I will run over there and take a picture.

You will be fairly surprised, the car is a bit infamous on FerrariChat. Has its own thread.

Jerry- Looks OEM. Different interior, but I like it. Sort of in the 57 T-Bird or Corvette tradition. Green exteriors look good on Maranellos. There is one in town here. Makes them look sort of Aston-Martinish or Jaguarish.

    Taz.

I am old enough (66) to remember the two-color interiors of classic cars in the 50's-60's. My wife really likes the interior of our 550, so that is good enough for me.

The car has been a great driver, no problems, and always gets compliments on the unique color and interior.

I wish I knew who ordered it, it must have been special ordered to be so unusual, rather than a dealer spec car.

Do you have a web site or source for determining the original dealer?

    Thanks,

    Jerry

3-Tone if you count the carpet! If nothing else, they are certainly more memorable.

When I had this made I was going to have a second lid with cup holder, after I thought about it, decided not a good idea with a manual trans.

Love the arm rest and storage :)

    cheers,

    Bill

Jerry- You are the same age I am and I learned to drive on a 61 Corvette with coves. Used to watch Bonanza on Sunday night in the 60s so we could see the new Corvettes. The 63 made a big impression.

Nice to have something out of the ordinary. Allan's, too. Said the guy with the red one.

I suggested a cup holder for Guido, our plutonium powered 550, but feisty Cowgirl said the best cup holder is a Starbuck’s chair positioned so we can look out at the car. Gotta say, she has a point...:).

Not a problem either if you cannot stand the smell or taste of coffee like I do.
