Here are a couple of early pictures of the yellow 512 TR that was for sale a while ago. If I remember correctly Mike was the first owner of this car. The then brand new 512 was on display in the old Maranello Ferrari store in Woodbridge when the pictures were taken. I believe those were taken in 1994. At that time Ferrari also shared space with the BMW products to. There was a second building on the left side of the property used for storage of the better Ferrari models like the F40 that Remo Ferri owned at that time. There was also his race version F40 stored there as well. He took delivery of that F40 at the factory and then came back with it in the plane to Canada. Because of the deep front spoiler they had a real problem loading that race car into the plane.

That was a long time ago, thanks for the update. There are a couple of Alfa models showing in the pictures above.
Does anyone else have any pictures from the Ferrari stores? Remo Ferri also had the shop on Keele Street previously; saw the silver Daytona prototype *11001* in the shop having some work done. No pictures from that time unfortunately...

Mr V that is a great find! It looks like the Challenge race back in 1994. Gian Luigi Buitoni was running there with CAR #1 a yellow 348 Challenge model. I specifically remember the black CAR #35 in one of the individual shots - outstanding pit crew! They were from Houston and thought our summer weather was cold...

Thanks CH - i recall seeing that 348 at autofourm in the late 90s (99) had close to 70,000 kms and the going rate was $79,000 - the days when ferrari's were a boat load, and interest rates of 10% - wonder what happened to this 348, i never saw it again.

Great sighting of that old blu 348 at autoforum Big red.
One I was always curious about was a 348 tb Serie Speciale numbered model that was black with a black interior. It had the great looking F40 style kevlar seats done in leather. Most of those cars came with a black front grill but the one sold new at Gentry Lane had a chrome look front grill from the factory. Have never seen that one for sale here in Ontario since it was new. There was a black ts on the market sometime ago but not that particular tb version 348. The Gentry Lane tb might have been #26 in the series.
Here is a bit of trivia for you - the Ferrari Dealer Code number for Gentry Lane was 6190.

Yes, those were from 94 & I think 95 too according to the photographer. I also like the 928 pacecar :) I got a photograph I took in those times when the yellow 348 from FoO was racing at the CNE during the Molson Indy. Just gotta scan it.

Sorry to side track your thread Mr C.! :D

good to know - here is a question for you.

In 98/99 a stock broker pal of mine bought from FoO a very unique (flat) black 355 with RED interior ... it was a STUNNUNG color, and always loved that car .... he sent it back to FoO and our very own (Steve) Goldy550 bought and had for a yr ... and then traded it in for his blue 550 .... i have never seen this car again, and wish i knew steve back then well enough i would hve purchased this 355 ----

it is (was) truly the most stunning car i have ever seen in this color combination.... the red interior was loud, but a beautiful throw back to the 60s cars with red interior.... and the flat black was a special order , and have never seen the color on any of the new cars ever again .... today the 430/458 might call them (Matte black?) .... but this car was not that matte black, it was a very flat black... you ever see it, or know anything about this car ?

Big red that is one unique sounding 355. Never got to see that one. The very first 355 that FoO received was I think fall of 1994. It was a red/black version as I recall...perfect for the 'collection'.
I will check and see if the flat black 355 is still around.

Who bought the Canadian black/black 2004 Stradale that Motion was selling?

Mr.C, here is another twist. A couple of years ago at a previous employer of mine there was a very nice 95 Yellow/Black Berlinetta. Well priced and therefore sold to Calgary within a day or two pending a PPI with the boys at LoT. I went there with the salesguy so I could introduce them to the boys. Michel C. who was there at the time swears he knew that car and it was the one he sold at FoO. He says it was the first one!

Sadly that B went to Calgary and last I heard it doesnt exist anymore.

Yes at the Science center grounds. I had a long talk with the owner I recall him saying he has many classic Ferraris all v12.
I have many pics from the good old days and it's cool going through them, thanks CH for starting this thread.

Hey Rocco I to was at the Science Centre! In the picture above the guy (Art Z) with his arm over the trunk on the red Daytona spyder was the owner. Remember the black Daytona coupe that was there as well that his friend owned? I got a laugh though when they didn't remember any Daytona being built with silver nose paint. Still to their credit they had a guy working for them back in California who had been at another dealer when Daytona models were delivered brand new. They said they would ask him about that silver nose feature...

Bill Noon was also at that event, he was parked near Jon Shirley on the hill overlooking the lower level lawn. (that driveway at the back of the Science Centre would have made a great hill climb run if there handn't been so much traffic going up and down all day.) There was also a street F50 (not Art's race version) there with Washington plates owned by Gregory Whitten. He told me about the 250 TdF he had purchased but it would be a few years in the future when he would buy my favourite; a 1964 style 250 GTO.
Alan Boe the Ferrari author was there judging to. That was a neat event that had a fair turn-out of cars considering it was in Canada.

Does anyone have a picture of the poster Jay Koka did with the yellow F50 for the official FCA poster of that event?

CH,I don't recall the black Daytona coupe, but I do recall the other red Daytona coupe that was also present an I have a picture of it.........you can't even compare the last one 2 years ago to the FCA meet in 1998.
If I remember correctly the guy with the other F50 drove it to Toronto from Washington.

One of the guys at the event was from Michigan and he had a brand new silver 355 he had just received. He was in the car business as a outside supplier who built prototypes for the major car companies. He had some very interesting comments about the state of the car businesses even back then.
One interesting option on his 355 was what he ordered for the interior. It was a special leather color he called 'baseball glove' that was darker than the usual tan shade. I asked about that car in the Michigan section here a few years ago but nobody commented so I don't know what happened to that particular 355. It was certainly a unique color combination. I don't think there are any pictures of that one either...
